Ok. I'll pass on this then.

Guess I'm back to looking for a Husaberg FS570 S again

Sounds steep to me. For that money there are better deals to be had IMHO.

That's what I was thinking. But then I did a search for other Super 8s near me and three popped up. One with 3,100 miles, been laid down and the electric start doesn't work. Guy is asking $1,500

Another with 1,200 miles on it and the kid is asking $3,000

Then there's a new one for $2,400

So now I'm not sure. I don't mind the < 600 miles on his and I know it's been garage kept and well taken care of. If I buy new I also pay the taxes on that $2,500. So in reality we're looking at close to $2,800-$2,900 for that new one all said and done.

I don't think the new one is $800-$900 better or worth it.

I currently have a 2009 Roketa Sicily 150cc that I scoot around town on quite a bit. It's been a good scooter but an opportunity to pick up a 2013 Kymco Super 8 150cc has come up.

My neighbor bought a 2013 Super 8 150cc last summer. It was brand new and now has <600 miles on it.

Earlier this week I got a flat tire on my Roketa and borrowed his Super 8 for the day. I put about 40 miles on it and really like it. I told him to let me know if he ever intends to sell it. He told me that he'd sell it to me now as he just doesn't use it like he thought he would.

He told me he'd sell it to me for $2,000.

My issues is that I've never been aware of the Kymco Super 8 and I see that MSRP New is $2499. If this thing is 3 years old, is it really worth $2,000? I looked it up on KBB and NADA and they're saying that retail from a dealer is like $1,300 and Trade-In Value is < $1,000.

So......Is this 2013 Kymco Super 8 150cc in EXCELLENT condition worth the $2,000 he's asking.....or is that pretty steep?

Thanks in advance!

A tentative future Super 8 Owner
