Agility 50 / Re: CDI Restriction

Can`t confirm the 7.5K OEM RPM limit as I didn`t have my rpm meter when I still had it limited :p Sounds legit though. With it de-restricted it seems to be limited at around 9.2K RPMS.

5,5 grams is definetly the way to go, both in terms of acceleration and in top speed.

Top speed =/= power.
A big bore kit vastly enhances your torque and therefore your acceleration. I could get up to those speeds (speedo, definetly not true speed) with my 50cc as well, but only on nice days with no wind and a smooth road.
With my big bore I can drive at the top speed practically whenever I want, tucked in, with or without wind, smooth surface or cobble road, doesn`t matter anymore. I also pull out in front of the cars at a light what makes my commuting time shorter.

Unfortunately I can`t legally drive anything over 50cc (moped license). I could perhaps buy an Agility 125 and swap the number plates, but that is currently too expensive for me.

My plan is to buy an empty engine block and a new crankshaft, and then swap all my (still good) parts over and drive with that. Budget is tight.

Thanks for the condolences guys, appreciated.

Edit: Got a theory as to why she broke. There is a squeeling noise/noise of metal ringing which probably means that the bearings are dry, but the oil level always was and still is normal. So my guess is that the oil pump/oil delivery broke and the bearings quickly (She first made noises yesterday, driven about 10 kilometers with it since) gave up. Not the BBK`s fault in my opinion, but I will check the oil system soon.

Agility 50 / She died.
« on: June 21, 2017, 10:19:22 AM »

My 2007 Kymco Agility with 36500km`s died today, 47mm kit was on there for about 3500km`s.
Guess it`s time for a new block + crank and she will thrive yet again.
It`s a sad day though.

Is there anything I need to know about replacing every single thing in the engine, especially the crank?
I will buy a entire new engine case, and will fill it up with all the parts that are on my engine now. Exept for the crank, I`ll buy that one brand new ofcourse (Naraku crank).

4,4hp it is. Bummer. The torque is there though with a whopping 17,9Nm 8).  Kind-of doubting about the accuracy, but the HP seems legit (top speed of 73km/h requires about that amount of hp) so the torque must be legit too.

I'll put my Agility on a dyno in a few days. Aiming for 6-ish horsepower ^^

It`s true.
A modified vehicle doesn`t comply with the factory specs and isn`t technically legal. They won`t care about, for example, different headlights (if they function normally) but if you get involved in a more than stock-speed accident they can choose not to pay.

That`s the case in the Netherlands, I`d guess it would be about the same everywhere else.

For legal advice please look through your countries/states laws and your insurance companies` rules.

Take it literally. I drilled my stock airbox open. All the existing holes are now wider and I`ve drilled about 10 5mm diameter holes in the side for better airflow. Removed all rough edges and restrictions in the tube going to the carb. All airflow optimised.

Nah, the stock 50cc doesn`t have the torque to pull the longer gears. Try other upgrades and mess with gears once you`ve got more than 70cc`s, otherwise you will only get slower.

I`m definitely having fun with my scooter indeed!  ;D

I`ve ran the stock pipe and a free-flowing Leovince pipe with no difference in the means of performance between them two with the 50cc.
With the 72cc the stock muffler gave slower acceleration (logic, as it`s really blocking the exhaust flow.) but the same top speed.

Indeed, it makes a huge difference on a two stroke. On four strokes it can potentially give some extra performance (5%-ish) but that`s only really happening with bigger engines (We`re talking real motorcycles, 300cc+).

I will perhaps try experimenting with a free-flow open filter. Nitrous is too dangerous for the engine and since this is my main means of transport being a teenager, I`d rather keep her in one piece  ;)

That`s the correct code. kg10sa.

All GPS-verified, same straight road, both way average speed measuring technique, same fuel and oil, carb always tuned speeds:

Derestricted: Variator boss, airbox/intake manifold, cdi cut, different roller weights (5,5gr).

A50 derestricted stock: 63 km/h
A50 derestricted Malossi multivar and #80 jet: 67 km/h
A50, Malossi multivar, drilled open airbox, #84 jet: 73 km/h and hit rev limiter (only capable of reaching this speed when tucked in)
A80, 72cc big bore kit, malossi multivar, drilled open airbox, #90 jet, camshaft stock: 73 km/h (need to tuck in slightly to reach top speed)
A80, 72cc big bore kit, malossi multivar, drilled open airbox, #90 jet, camshaft A9: 73 km/h (Basically almost reach this speed unless headwind is strong-ish)

All done on the same 2007 Kymco agility under the same circumstances.

Any part that`s listed as `GY6` or `139QMB` will fit. The code on your kymco block is different but it`s a 1:1 fit with any GY6 block with only the attachment points (to the frame) being different.

A big bore kit will increase your CC`s and therefore increase torque and hp (top speed will be the same because you will hit your rev limiter).

Downsides can include:
High potential for crank damage/wear
Higher fuel consumption
It`s not legal
Can go wrong, can deliver some issues (most of the time it`s not the parts fault though.)

Agility 50 / Re: Common issues
« on: May 06, 2017, 09:52:20 AM »
The agility doesn`t really have any inherent flaws to it as far as I know.

What I would take:

A toolkit with all the toolheads and a little spanner set like this: , I`ve got one and it basically does all the jobs on my kymco, even did my big bore kit with it!
A set of fuses
Tire repair/plug kit
Jerrycan for extra fuel
Ti-wraps and duct-tape
Some canned food and water in case you get stranded
Oil if you plan on driving more than 2000km`s

Do a good check on your scooter, tires brakes engine belt vario air filter etc etc, if all is good, you should be aswell :)
