Ohh, I thought you were speaking of different lights (that's what i get for skimming through) -.- I will probably end up taking it off. I'm hoping that parts site will also sell fenders, as I have a crack in mine...tried teaching my friend how to ride a bike figured these things would be the easiest to learn on rather than my 500lb cruiser :P

yes finally someone else!. The fastest I've gotten was 65 (indicated), but I was in a full tuck with a tail wind. I really want to Mod out the thing such as:

- air filter
- exhaust
- carb jets

I cannot find jack about the 125 and only a small amount in the 50cc version. Also, any info I find is Norwegian or Philippine lol. I also need to complete the 300 mile service which includes a valve check.

Same with me, however I want to mod everything; but I don't want to order parts that I'm unsure will fit/work. One of the things i'm curious of is trying to big bore the engine, that'd be interesting to see but I don't want to guinea pig my bike out.

The main things I will probably do are - Tires, Exhaust, Air Filter, Cafe Race handlebars, new clutch/brake lever, undercowl/undercover for lower engine. Sounds like a lot, but the only thing that would be pricey would be the exhaust and tires. Since there's so little of this specific bike mods i'm hesitant to do much performance mods.

There's so much potential to this bike, I'd love to see what crazy things people come up with in the near future.

Hey! You and I both in regards to being new owners of a K Pipe! I've also posted pondering about power on it. I'd love just 10mph more and it would be perfect to take anywhere. I struggle but can get up to 58mph on a straight with wind. I'm about 5'10 190 pounds. I saw a video with a Honda Grom going about 104mph, was insane.

Here are some pictures of mine (sorry not a good photographer!)

As for riding experience, I love it. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't idle well, I think it just needs tuned so i'm going to get a tune up for it before jumping to any negative conclusions. It is fairly cold however (garage kept), and I use it in every morning about 40 degrees f. but as soon as I start it up with the choke on, it'll idle for about 20 seconds max and die on me. Usually, I'll just start it right up and ride it immediately to warm it up (sometimes it dies mid ride on a stoplight or stop sign when I downshift but will start right back up and I can continue riding). I've only had it for about a week and I've already put a few hundred miles on it (800 miles on it now). Trying to get the most rides before the winter storms. I always use the clutch out of habit, I find that the transition is much cleaner. I find that the handling is so smooth, and I thought I would ride bumpy on this; however it feels very smooth and comfortable. I live in a country area along the Appalachian Trail in the U.S., so I get to experience fun mountain rides with a great view. Wish it could go faster, I'm looking for some mods in another post. I've only ridden cruisers before and a Ninja 600 when I started to ride, but I am really started to get hooked on Dual Sports.

General Discussion / K Pipe 125 (2016) Upgrades/Cafe Racer?
« on: November 08, 2016, 02:46:33 AM »
Hey all,

I was just wondering if there were any good upgrades you all used on your K-Pipe for more speed/acceleration. I can go up to 55-58mph without too much troubles, I would love to go just a bit faster  ;D ;D

Overall just looking for some recommendations.

Secondly, I was wondering on if there is a possibility of converting into a "cafe racer" style (with minimal welding). I've seen the Honda Grom be converted and I am just curious on the possibilities of this  8)

Thanks for reading, hope you are all are doing great.

Welcome!
Seems like you need to open the switch again.
Sounds like broken plastic or bent metal parts.
When you get time...sit and study how it works...see the problem?
Or just swing by Kymco dealer and make use of that great two year warranty.
Good luck, welcome, and let us know how you get it fixed.
Stig

Thanks for the welcome.
I opened it and it was the white plastic thing in there that was completely broken off, not sure how it got that way.
The dealer ordered a whole new left hand control and is happily replacing it :D wasn't sure if the warranty would transfer because I bought this used, but they said it was free so i'll take it!

Technical | How To / K Pipe 125 (2016) Turn Signals Jammed
« on: November 04, 2016, 01:54:24 AM »
Hey all, I just got a 2016 Kymco K pipe 125.

So far, it's been a blast. I've been cruising around town quite often with it.

Today, as I was riding I noticed my turn signals felt weird on the thumb, it felt as if it was sticky a bit. When I went to turn right, my turn signal would not shut off, and it stayed that way.  I ended up figuring that it was the left hand controls turn signal that got stuck. I took the left hand controls apart, sprayed some WD 40 in there and felt back to normal.  Now, anytime I try to put on the left turn signal, it blinks right. When I try to put on the right turn signal, it blinks right. Even if i touch the button just a little bit (without actually trying to apply the turn signal) it starts blinking right.

I can still ride quite fine, however I cannot touch the turn signal thing at all without it signaling right turn.

Anyone have a clue what I should do?

Thanks,

Zach
