The same color as the scooter, metallic light-blue in my case.

Thanks!

People s200 / S250 owners question
« on: May 22, 2010, 06:10:00 PM »
I'm desperately looking for another scooter and an S250 showed up on Craigslist. One question: is the area behind the front wheel painted the color of the scooter or is it a mat-plastic? The scooter in question is black so I can't tell from the pix.

Thanks!

Kymco News / Up $300.00 off

Does anyone know which 2009 Models Kymco is discounting? I'm mostly interested in hearing about the XC250 and XC500. Their site state that these discounts only apply to dealer stock.

Question for those in the know. What would be a fair price for a 2006 Xciting 250 with 1250 miles? I found one close by and might be interested. Any known issues with this model year? I know it's carbureted and has been well taken care of- looks absolutely new- no scratches or drops. Any advice or comments welcome.

Another way of keeping an eye on these bolts and others is to put a line of paint from a paint pen across the bolt or allen bolt so that you can easily do a visual inspection each time you ride to make sure a bolt isn't loosening. My Piaggio came from the factory with yellow lines across all the important visiable bolts. After I do any maintenance or repairs I re-mark the bolts. i bought the paint pen at a craft store for 2 bucks. Handy.

Welcome aboard Bob! That Downtown is 1 cool looking scoot. A few guys here are into all the NEW models. May I be the first here to say GOOD CHOICE, And Happy Holidays.

Thanks for the welcome- I can't find anything wrong with that model. I'm hoping the price is below 5K which is the buzz I'm hearing. That bad boy ought the go pretty good. Even though I love my Piaggio and it's been relatively problem free for 17,000 miles I'm looking forward to owning a Kymco. I have heard nothing but good things about them for a long, long time. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you too.

Hi- I've been lurking for awhile and finally registered. I currently ride a Piaggio bv200. I'm looking to purchase a new scooter this spring or summer and have decided to to go Kymco this time. I've contacted my dealer to find out about the availability and pricing of the 2011 Downtown 300. He will know more in February after the dealer meeting. That scoot really looks like it has it all! The Xciting 250 looks interesting too but I haven't taken the time to research it thoroughly. I hope to learn more and become an active member here.
