well, he took it a bit further than necessary...didn't really need to pursue and put himself and others in danger....he had the whole thing on gopro....coulda just made sure he made the guy's plate then gone to the cops with his video.

Bar end weights are typically used to reduce excessive vibration transferred to the bars. They can address jiggly mirrors or tingly hands. Just possible your new ride is smoother than your old one?

Have used one of those on 2 occasions. Keep the speed down and be mindful of rear bodywork/fender clearance with the road. It may look ok at a standstill but get up on the bike and bounce it up and down to see if anything hits or scrapes. Another handy item is the Canyon Dancer handlebar tiedown. So easy to hook up, is so secure, and there are no hooks to mar the handlebars or slip.

I live out in the country so no trip is trivial. It's 22 miles r/t just to go to the gas station. I live on a 20 acre hilltop and sometimes I'll ride wifey's scooter or my CT90 the 1/4 mile to the mailbox because I don't wanna hoof it back up the hill.

Never been a fan of group riding. Group meetup from various starting points, sure. 3 bikes or more starts to mess with the energy and freedom of bike riding and it becomes that little train at the park.

Any savings would likely be consumed in shipping costs. I'm not saying that he's trying to pull a scam. But be very cautious and use several safeguards.

First thing I thought, too. Why wouldn't he look for a nice dry bike down in California? And the onus is on the seller to arrange all the shipping? It stinks. Let me guess...he wants to send Stig a bank check for the cost of the bike, plus cost of shipping, plus a little more just for the trouble. Run!

a scooter manufacturer were to go retro and start installing Honda CT/Cub semi-auto trannies in scooters for the American market? You know Honda was making big wheel, step throughs in the late 50's! CVT trannies seem to warrant an awful lot of attention in our repair posts and all that time my 47 year old CT90 has never required anything more serious than lube service. AND...compared to CVT equipped scooters of the same relative displacement, it SPANKS those new bikes on MPG! It's nothing for my Trail 90 to get over 100mpg. I had the opportunity to ride a big wheel Kawasaki 110 step through in Indonesia for a month...it was a delight to ride and turned in amazing mileage. All the big Japanese Four produce these...the 110 class step through with a rotary clutchless 4 speed is the pick up truck of Asia! So I gotta ask ya...are CVTs worth it? Crummy mileage and high maintenance? Take a look at this pic, can you tell that little Suzuki is not a twist-n-go tranny?

A stock People 150 is a very quiet bike...something is amiss. First, while the motor is cold, start at the tip of tailpipe, move on to the muffler and then to the headpipe and just wiggle things around, touch all the fastener hardware, to see if you can find anything loose. While you're at it, look around the tailpipe to see if any power mad previous owner has drilled a few extra holes in the muffler back there. Next get a skinny screwdriver and tape a little flag of toilet paper to the the tip. Start up the bike and let it idle and then start probing for leaks. Try to check the entire length of the exhaust system...the tp flag will flutter if it detects escaping exhaust. Hope you find the leak and get things to quiet down.

My grandpa always had a little pile of pennies in the console or ashtray of his car. When met with an egregious tailgater, he'd flip one or two pennies out his side window. He used to laugh that "nobody gets up to a nickel!"
