hello, so i bought a kymco people s 125 recently. sorry i can't capitalize on this laptop, the shift key is very small and awkward, lol anyway.. so apparently shortly after buying it, i noticed the fuel gauge wasn't working properly (it would go all over the place). so after fueling up, i would reset the trip-ometer and i ride around to see how many miles it could go on a full gas tank, and very oddly enough it would die after only 60 miles! so i'd put some extra gasoline i was carrying and it would start up fine again, then i'd drive to the gas station to fuel up properly and it could only fit just under a gallon. so at this point the new fuel sensor came in the mail and i changed it and threw the old one out. when we were changing it, it indeed looked like the gas tank was empty. so we rode to the gas station and filled it up, again only just under a gallon could fit. after the fill up the new sensor would show it's 3/4th full even though i filled it right up to the top.
am i dealing with a defective gas tank here or something? i checked the specifications and it said the fuel tank capacity is 1.8 gals, not 0.8 gals like i seem to have.... or is something else going on? having to fuel up after every 60 miles is very annoying lol, seeing as how my work is 30 miles away... that's like fueling up every day.
thanks for any info in advance..
