Super 9 / How do I derestrict the CDI on Super 9 AC 2007
« on: August 02, 2010, 04:18:06 AM »
I have been trying to figure this out but I cant get a straight answer. Some threads say to cut a green wire, while others say that the 07 doesnt have the green wire and that I should just get a new CDI.

If so which one do I get? Or can I cut some wire to make it work

Remember its an AC 2007 Super 9

Thanks

Super 9 / Somehelp need with Super 9 MODS
« on: July 22, 2010, 01:15:13 PM »
Well I finally got all the parts and to my surprise my friend had told me that his scooter was LC while its AC >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

So at this point im not sure what fits and what not. Wanted to ask whats compatible and what 70cc should I go with. This has taken so much time (waste of time) that I feel like throwing the towel and let him deal with it, so much reading and research all to find out its a freaking AC model. How the Fu<k can you not know what scooter you have!!!!!!!!!!!!

The parts I have are the following and need to know if they fit the AC

Malossi CARB.KIT PHBG 19 AS KYMCO 50
  Article Code 1611028

Malossi VARIATOR MULTIVAR for SCOOTER
  Article Code 51 9988

Malossi Primary Gears HTQ Z 15/44
  Article Code  6711802

Oh and whatever doesnt fit is for sale.
I also have the Malossi "LC" 70 cc kit for sale

Super 9 / Can't decide between Tenigas RS2 or Leo Vince
« on: May 20, 2010, 12:46:11 PM »
Ok, I am torn between the Leo Vince and the Tecnigas RS2. Everywhere I have read it seems that people say go with the RS2 but I have read in some other forums that the Leo Vince with will have better low end and that the RS2 will be better after, say 50mph and the difference is not gonna be that big. I also read on another post that the Leo Vince had better overall performance then the RS2 in low, mid and high, and this was on the same scooter on the same day. The guy swapped them that same day, and the guy seems trustworthy being that he is a drag racer and 30+ years of age. All the other threads I have read about the RS2 being better dont really have a story or proof to back it up, they just say its better because of what they have read on the net.

So whats the deal? Whats better? The leo Vince or the RS2? Please keep in mind guys im not so interested in getting 5mph more in the top end if im gonna be losing a significant low end.

Keep in mind I'm gonna be running a 70cc malossi

This is one of the forums I read this on

The oil pump is somewhere plugged into the crankcase.  You should be able to follow your oil line from the carb to it.  There will be a splitter in the throttle cable.  One cable goes to the carb, the other to the oil pump.  You will want to somehow hold the oil pump lever all the way open, ie. zip-tie.  This will pump the maximum amount of oil to the carb all the time, even at idle.

will I still need to add oil to the gas? If so how much when tank is filled

The carb will have to be tuned!  I would recommend getting an assortment of main jets.  You will also have to set the idle speed and mix screws.  There is tons of info on here about how to tune the carb.  Here are a couple good links for carb tuning:

http://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/PHBG_tuning_made_easy._%28a_step_by_step_guide%29
http://www.mopedarmy.com/wiki/How_To_Tune_PHBG_Carburetors

Plug chops are the key!!!!!

If you are still going to run the oil pump, I would recommend zip-tying it all the way open as well as adding about an extra 1.5 oz of oil to the tank.  I personally just pre-mix my fuel at a ration of about 38:1 - 40:1.  That way I know exactly how much oil my engine is getting.  Keep in mind adding more oil than that won't help, it will actually lean out your fuel mixture!  If your engine is already broken I would use a good quality full-synthetic oil.  I personally use Bel-Ray H1R.

What is it that I need to zip-tie? Where in the oil pump are you talking about?

Just a couple more questions guys.
Once I install the 19mm dellorto carb........
Will any adjustments have to be make to the screws or other stuff?
Will I need to add extra oil in the gas to not blow the engine? If so which kind and how much?
Or is the something else I can do like making the oil pump, pump more?
Do I need to buy any additional jets or do some additional ones come with the carb
What else needs to be done once the Carb will be installed?

I have that Motorio intake manifold on my ZX50, middle one in the pic.  It seems like a decent set-up!  I think on yours you will use one of the others to attach to the Delorto.  If you go that route just call and talk to Steve.  Make sure you specify which carb you will be using.

I cant see the pic ur talking about
