Agility 50 / Re: change cooling fan when tuning.?

..i've never seen a fan that takes air from the engine...and expells it out the side...

..makes no sense...

..from where would the air be inducted??

yeah me too. but the fin design says otherwise. most probably the fan stil blows air toward the engine but the effect is greatly reduced due to the fin design.

Hi Mr.moose.

I think the fan you have has almost the same effect as the assassin fan. if you analyze the fins seriously, the fins gets the air from the engine, blowing it out of the side cover. What we need is a fan that will suck air from the side going towards the engine itself.

Here's a sample picture of what we use on our gy6 engines here in Philippines.

Notice the tha fins in the inner side catches air as it rotates clockwise, and dumps air on the other side, producing greater air inflow.

the red racing fan being sold in the scooter assasins are designed for less drag, and not for more cooling. I advise you against using these kinds of fans unless you are in a really cool place. Here in Philippines we do not advise using such fan. but we do have an available GY6 fan that has more fins and the fin design is optimized for better airflow.

I dont think a torque coming from a less than 10hp engine can twist or squat the frame and mountings, unless these are really put in bad places.

I've seen modified scooters with lots of torque using monoshock and i havent heard someone got a "twisted" frame.

Hope someone could provide me with the mounting points on the 2t version...

what we did was we bypassed the LCB so that the headlights would not dim even at idle speeds.

Thanks for welcoming me. :D

Yes, i believe that the 125 is a bit heavier, but the shock does not carry the engine's weight since the engine is below the shock. if they have the same chassis, most probably they're carrying the same weight. Though of course, i will replace my suspension with those that are designed for monoshock since the stock shocks may be too soft if the other one is removed.

already tried searching thru scribd, didn't find any. :(

I'd like to know too.

Further to this, does the super8 50 2t have the same engine as super9? (Minarelli type)

Hi guys, im new here. Does anyone know where i can find a shop manual or chassis pictures (engine mounts) of super8 2t? I noticed that the 2t version is on monoshock while the 4t uses 2. I was thinking if it would be safe to convert my 125 4t into a monoshock.
