Agility 125 / Re: Fuel Gauge
« on: June 17, 2008, 07:09:17 PM »
The fuel gauge is horribly inaccurate.

I wish the Agility had a trip odometer, they make good fuel gauges once you know how far you can go on a tank.

When mine hits the red zone, I typically fill it up and it holds less than a gallon. If I just ignore it and go another 40k or so, it will hold about a gallon.

Most I've ever put in was 1.1 gallons, and the needle was buried way down at the bottom of the gauge.

I wouldn't worry about how long you can ride the scooter. Just keep the oil level checked and you should be OK.

As with any engine, the more it is operated, the more it will wear. That's just the facts. A bigger engine will not have to work as hard to maintain speed, but still has the same moving parts.

I have an Agility 125, and I wouldn't hesitate to take it out for a day ride. I have a couple of motorcycles at my disposal that would be a much better choice. I use my scooter for commuting 13 miles to work and 13 miles home and running around the paddock at track days. If I'm going to go long distance, I grab a motorcycle.

Agility 125 / Re: Agility 125 Exhaust Bolts Coming Loose

Loctite baby!

I nearly lost an airbox mouting screw. It fell out and I heard it hit the ground. I picked it up, put on some blue loctite, and put it back in. Removed the other bolt and did the same.

I checked the muffler mount screws and they were tight, so I left them alone.

The Agility doesn't have the bells and whistles of some scoots, but it seems to be solid. I really wish they'd have build in a little cubby up front, but that's something I might try to rig up myself. Just want a place to toss my wallet and cell phone for quick errands especially when I at the track in race leathers. They don't have pockets, and tucking my wallet and phone in my waistbaid is uncomfortable and getting off the raise the seat is an inconvenience.

I'll see if I can rig something up out of cardboard first and try it. If it works, I'll get a sheet of plastic and fab up a little cubbie. Just have to figure out the best way to attach it. I don't think glue or epoxy will hold. Might have to drill the front fairing and put some small screws into metal brackets.

I found the manual online and printed it out.

Pretty simple little engine to work on once you get all the plastic off.

Picked up my Agility 125 today.

I really want to find out more technical details about the engine. It appears by looking at stroke and bore info that it's the same motor as the People 125.

There are a lot of tweaks that can be done if it's a standard GY6 engine.

I picked up my Agility 125 today. Anyone have a service manual for the scoot?
