It has 180cc as I recall printed right on the hub cover near the fill hole. Do not overfill, drain it and put it what it states there. Do not worry about trying to get it all out.

Turn the ignition key all the way to the right. If the lube goes dry, you may need to stick a knife blade in and pry it a little while holding the key all the way to the right.

That plug is a STANDARD GY6 plug. Same as on the Chinese bikes, it even says GY6 on it, look at your photo.

Buy a few, they break all the time. Make sure to buy a bunch of the rubber O Rings, they leak all the time.

you can get the rings at any Ace hardware store, they have sizes that will fit just fine. I think the size officially is 38X30

The way the headllights are designed, they probably won't dim unless you REALLY add some stress.

But you really need to replace that brake light with an LED.

They are 35W/35W running off AC and there is probably not much you can do. 55W H4 bulbs will fit  but would probably melt the lens and drain the battery.

One thing you CAN do is replace the running lights (they are T94) with some high power bright white LEDs.  You won't see any better, but will probably be seen better.

The People S design does not lend itself to either headlight modulators or HID lights (both of which are installed in my SYM HD 200).

60 or so GPS is about all it gets.

At 1300 miles your scoot is not really broken in yet, so you might do a little better down the road. But not much. It might top out at 57 or 58 GPS. Some folks on this board have done all kinds of things to try to increase the top end, but all have pretty much failed. The issue may be with the gear ratios, as the acceleration is quite strong.

I put 14g sliders into the variator, and nothing changed. 60 or so seems to be it on this bike.

My SYM HD 200 OTOH does 73 GPS no problem.

I am a SYM fan-boy and there is NO comparison between a People S 200 and a SYM HD 200 (I currently own both).
The People is OK for the city. The handling is fast and it feels light. It tops out at 60 MPH MAYBE, and I won't take mine on the highway.
The SYM HD 200 is a monster. It is fast like a sport bike. It does up to 75 MPH and holds the road on the highway. It is a totally different feel.

The Carter Bros situation is not a problem. my dealer sources parts from the KYMCO distributor in Canada, and you can also get parts from Taiwan in just a few days from Scooter Assassins. In fact, KYMCO parts take MUCH longer to get!

If you ride the People and the SYM, you will buy the SYM guaranteed.
