if I used the longer belt will I have to use heavier weights in the variator? it comes stock with 8.5 gram. Also, I clicked on that link and I have been to that site before and its not in english but either way I can look up the belt size and get it elsewere

I was wondering can someone tell me the size of my belt, I have a 2004 Kymco Vitality 2 stroke, my local "dealer" knows less about my scooter than I do apparantly. They cant look it up by the make and model because they still use catalogs to order parts from....And also is there a performance belt available ??

ok I will keep that in mind. Now if I dont change the jet will it still run good with the new exhaust? or will it run bad?  What I am asking I guess is, will the performance stay the same as far as speed and power goes untill I upjet?

Also one other question, I have the chance to pick up a performance 99mm variator from a store, will I need the 18mm or the 21mm model? And I think that they are talking about the diameter of the center hole of the variator.

I dont have a digital camera at the moment, besides I think I got the CDI restriction figured out..... Now my next problem is finding a performance exhaust system. The local dealer has no clue were to get one either, hows come everyone else can seem to mod these scoots, but I cannot even find a website to buy parts?

The BOSS has no grooves or washer on it. its smooth.

As for the belt I was gonna go ahead and get one too, that way I dont have to take it apart again anytime soon.

Let me know when you get that CDI figured out.

Well I got the side cover off tonite and checked out the insides, there does not appear to be a restrictor on the variator, unless I dont know what I am looking for. (It pretty much looks like everyother variator I have saw, same as a 4 stroke)

The rollers have flat spots, so I will be putting a fresh set of 7g rollers in soon. The belt is in good shape. And I still cant figure out the CDI unit if it has a restriction or not.

yea as soon as I get some extra time, I am going to take the variator off and inspect the rollers and belt. Thats when I might take off the muffler and clean out the exhaust port on the engine too.

The other night I hit it a couple times with a rubber mallet while holding the throttle wide open and yes, a few small bits of carbon shot out the back. I think the best thing I could do is try putting it in a fire, I have no access to torches or welding equipment, not to mention even cutting tools to get the muffler apart. I am eventually gonna replace it with a performance exhaust.
