This scooter has been very unreliable.Third year owning it have set valves replaced batteries upgraded battery to more cranking power plugged in after every ride with a battery maintainer will do good for long time then out of the blue no start.Pull the plug and pull injector crank it to clear cylinder put it back together will run then next time it may or may not start. That’s why I’m wonrdering if tilt sensor is causing the issue plug is always wet has new starter new coil swapped relays the only thing to me is tilt sensor not letting it to fire but I could be wrong I posted this before but if I pull the breather tube it’s like a air compressor blow out air should be like that I think I need to do a compression test like the rings are not sealing.

I was checking manuals and found the Kawasaki 300 j manual had more information then the Kymco manual.Still my scooter has a no start at times. When it does that the best way to get it to start is to remove the injector from head pull the plug crank the engine over to clear cylinder then let it sit for awhile.Put injector back in head put plug back in will usually start again.I leave the hose and wire to injector so it won’t throw a code when I pull it out. After reading the 300 j manual it states the tilt sensor cuts the fuel and spark.Wondering if the voltage going tru the tilt sensor is causing a no start .Has any one checked it out when you get a no start.

You said you put a new coil in it correct? If you crank the engine over does the low battery light come on?My scooter has done the same thing to me what your dealing with.Your coil is probably ok.If you valves are out of spec they probably need to be adjusted.Once you flood the engine there a pita to dry out.I take the plug out pull the injector out as one piece do not take the connector or fuel hose off.Once you reset the valves then spray brake cleaner in the plug hole crank it over with plug hooked to wire resting against the engine to see spark watch it and injector for spray into a rag to catch fuel crank it over a few times if it has spark and fuel put it back together then charge your battery with a small charger for that battery.once charged then try to start scooter.Good luck they can be mind boggling. If it does start you will have to clear codes if it still on make sure you get it up to temperature before turning it off .I would get a battery maintainer and plug it in every night to keep the new battery in top shape.

Didn’t see any mist but you feel Constant pressure is that normal seems like a small air compressor blowing the scooter runs good 7000 miles

The reason for led is to drop current draw my bike has low miles don’t need a new one

By looking a wiring I decided to do the negative side the rear lights looks to be a 4 wire harness and the front looks to be about the same I have the relay I’m going to try and find the sealed plug for it.Run the negative to terminal 85 and jump it to 30 on relay 86 will go to the starter cable off the solenoid and 87a will go to negative to rear lights and front lights. The relay when not activated will be normally closed 30 to 87a giving the lights a ground. When you start the bike will open the circuit 30 to 87 which will be normally open breaking the ground to lights. With the lights on at start up two front head lights is 70 watts the rear tail lights license plate lights and running lights is another 30 or more watts so that’s about a 100 watts the relay is about 5 watts to activate.

I could also add the relay on the ground side but would have to find the wire that feeds all the rear lights and all the front lights this would be the ideal way to do it there was a harness on eBay might have to get it then find the correct wires I need don’t want to cobble the wiring on scooter unless I know where these two connections are.

I have us model with no abs and has headlight switch 2012 looking at what you posted I could add the relay at hi low beam relay on the yellow red wire that would take care of headlights and taking out 70 watts of lights then change the rest of lights to led I have to study the wiring more to see if there’s a easy way for the rest of running lights
