Run/stop switch in which position?
What year is the bike?
How many miles/kilometers?
How long sitting since last ride?
How old is fuel in tank?
How old is battery?
What test did you use to determine "no spark?"
Not the OP but know about the situation:
1. sidestand up
2. Run position, no issue here, can be turned on or off
3. 2016
4. 10k miles
5. two weeks since last ride
6. fuel is not old but now is at least 2-3 weeks old
7. battery is 5 years old and is probably dead but we've run it on a charger and it starts up with no issue
8. No spark, we've tested the original plug, without any success against a metal part, we've changed out the plug, and its still down. We've changed out the connector piece from the spark plug (plug hood), the line from the spark plug, now we've changed out the stator with the pickup needle. At this point were thinking maybe its the computer because the rider used a car jump starter a few times to start the bike after the bike did not start. The strange thing is that the bike made it to the shop that day when he jump started it but after it turned off, it never turned back on.
