Check your starter ground,mine was loose and would intermittently crank slow. Finally found the problem when the bolt fell out and wouldn't crank.

My brother took his motorcycle training course and got his license. He has kinda taking over the scoot and has been riding it running errands and what not. He is planning on getting a motorcycle later but the Like should give him some practice in the meantime. I love the Versys 650 and have put 1800 miles on it in in 7 weeks. This bike is fast,had to pass on the freeway to get around a slow car and went from 50 to 95 mph before I knew it.

Well I pulled the trigger on a brand new Kawasaki Versys 650 LT today and it looks like I'll be parting ways with the Like. The scoot has been very dependable and a workhorse. It helped me through a severe financial burden (which was the reason I bought it) and got me back and forth to work for a year without fail every day. Logged 7500 miles in that time. I'll pick up the new bike saturday and thanks for everyone's input on questions in the past.

The LT comes with quick release 27 ltr.panniers and hand guards. The one I found is a brand new 2016 leftover for $5500.9

Nice ride! I almost pulled the trigger on an Xciting 400i but in about 4 weeks i will be buying a Kawasaki Versys 650 LT

The bolt was completely missing with the ground cable hust hanging loose,took a couple of minutes but fiund where it went

Yep,wouldnt have found it so fast if the cable hadnt arced when i hit the starter switch.

Went to start the the scoot and could get nothing but clicks from the starter solenoid,after multiple attempts it cranked and started. This went on for a couple of days till it finally wouldnt crank.Ordered a new solenoid,replaced it and same problem existed but with the seat bucket removed I saw an arc and found a loose ground cable (starter or frame ground?)
Replaced bolt and all is good,found a plug and play replacement solenoid replacement for the Like 200i from Amazon for $6.48 and it arrived in two days. Here's the part number if you're ever in a bind and need one quick.

The Versys LT I'm looking at has way more storage than a scoot with the easily removable hard saddlebags and it readily accepts an aftermarket topcase. It's more of sport/touring bike than a cruiser. It's been about 9 yrs.but I logged over 20k miles on a very fast R6 sport bike,I could probably adjust if I decide to go this route.

Moxie Scooters in Texas has one 400i left for $4999. I'm torn between that scooter and a brand new 2016 Kawasaki Versys 650 LT for $5500.

Thanks Stig, spoke to Kymco and the largest scooter they are offering in the U.S. for 2019 is the Xtown 300i.

Is it true Kymco will not be selling the Xciting 400i in the US for 2019? Read that Yamaha will not be offering their Xmax 400 here either.

I like to put red bulbs in one side,blue in the other and switch from L to R really fast in traffic
