Agility 50 / Replacement Plastics???
« on: September 21, 2010, 08:05:44 PM »
Hey out there in scooter world. I've got an '07, and I recently busted the rear taillight cover. I need to know where to get a replacement one. The only place I've found so far is http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx  and they want 36 bucks! Screw that... any ideas?

Yeah, don't be afraid, it's just like pulling off a band-aid- once it's over, it's over! (then you'll gain 3-5MPH downhills too!) ;D

Just installed the polini variator (with no impact wrench! I did the "Jam a wrench into the case, then torque on it as hard as you can, till it comes off and you fall on your a**" technique). It came with 6.9 gram rollers.

What I have noticed:
Top speed didn't really go up that much, may have even gone down a mile or two. What I did notice is that my acceleration is much smoother, more of a linear progression instead of coming in waves. I can now maintain a good 30 mph up a pretty substantial hill, and my takeoff speeds are quicker.  ;D

Thanks man! that's awesome. ;D I think I'll try that before spending too much on exhaust. Especially for a 4T

I see... I was hoping for the 138.00 version. The cheapest I have found is http://enviromoto.ecrater.com/p/8025586/leovince-handmade-titan-exhaust-kymco

That enviromoto site seems pretty competitive as far as pricing goes.

I'm in between getting this: http://www.enviromoto.ecrater.com/p/3956702/stage-4-72cc-power-pack-139qmb-a

and this: http://www.enviromoto.ecrater.com/p/3955867/stage-3-power-pack-72cc-big

If I go with the Stage 3, and a K&N air filter, I've already order the polini variator kit, and it comes with rollers, so idk if it's worth the extra 49 bucks for an airfilter, and a new jet and spark plug. What do you guys think?

There are two sets of numbers I could find. One, on the top face of the carb- LDC8 or B. The other, on the top right side of the carb was 0214A.

@art: I did a downhill test, and my top speed is now about 45 MPH.

@wordslinger: It's not new, it's an 07 w/ about 3500 km on it.

I just bought an Agiltiy 50, and just ordered the Polini Variator from scooter Dynasty. http://www.scooterdynasty.com/polinihighperformancespeedcontrolvariatorkitsforkymcoscooters.aspx

Has anyone installed this? What were your results? I can't wait to get this installed and test it out. I also just de-restricted the CDI (I think) by making the cut on the end of the CDI box, however I'm not sure if it worked or not. Will I be able to tell a difference?  ???
