Super 9 / Re: Tuning new Super 9 AC?
« on: June 24, 2008, 02:27:12 AM »
I just bought a Super 9 AC, and love the little machine, but I am dissatisfied with it's top speed of around 35mph...

I'm wondering what I need to get this puppy to do an easy 50, and where I can get it. My brief research suggests I need a new exhaust, which I found here; http://www.sip-scootershop.com/pages/index.php?PORTAL=Froogle&COUNTRY=US&ID=21012&PORTALID=0&EXPLODIM=px&_requested_page=%2Fpages%2Fdetails.php

Is there anything else I need? And are there any U.S. based dealers for this stuff?

Thanks!

Getting another pipe will be a waste of money on a stock AC Super 9.. The AC models dont have the green wire to disconnect the rev limiter. You will need to by a unrestricted CDI off Ebay $125 and take your cvt spacer out and throw it in the trash.. Go buy one that dosen't have the coller on it, Kymco part $25.. Or take your stock one to a machine shop with a lathe and have it modified.. Derestricted you can acheive 40-45mph depending on your weight.. Dont get a pipe until you plan on carb and cylinder mods..

Super 9 / Liquid Cooled Super 9 mods

I thought about starting my own Super 9 Forum , I can't believe there isn"t a dedicated one on the web.. I have had mine for 4 months now, its a 2004 the best year in my opinion..  I have got a 73cc Airsal cylinder kit, ported , head shaved .. I got the Dellorto 19mm carb, Tecnigas rs carbon pipe.. Malossi variator 7.5g rollers, Yellow torque spring, Red clutch springs.... 60mph on flat ground 50-55mpg all day long..

I have hooked up the {real front Euro signals} and got rid of the crappy stalks on the handle bars.. I got a fender eliminator kit and removed the center stand and rear handle on the tail section. This shaved  some weight off the bike. I plan on this Fall useing my spare cylinder and doing a full Race port. 28mm intake , 28mm oko carb,Tecnigas NON-E exhaust.   A couple of my freinds just bought Brand New 2005 LC Super 9's from my work that were left over from another dealer.. I work for a Kymco Dealer by the way.. I hope to help them with mods on there Super's.

Look forward to hearing yall's mods as well..
