I found a few blogs about the rev limiter and I believe that it is something I can do.  Haven't worked in the 7 months since my surgery, so I have to start with the free things.  Think I will get started on that first thing in the morning, after some more research.

I have seen some de-restricting techniques on here.  Which one would you recommend first?  Cheapest but with optimal boost.

A few years back I had the scooter pictured.  It was called Eton Beamer II.  It was already de-restricted so I didn't have to do anything to it.  It mixed oil with gas.  The Kymco is heavier and feels more solid........plus it has the big 16 inch rims that make it look a lot cooler.

Thank ya'll for the nice words and encouragement.  I also play one-armed golf.  I got applause on the tee box the other day for a perfect 240 yard drive down the middle of the fairway with only one arm!!!!!!!!  I strap a few clubs on the back of the scoot and go practice a few times a week.

I am not going to let my disability stop me from doing things.

BTW .......the mod only cost $2.25. ;D

Here is a pic of some scratches that were on it when I bought it.  I used scratch removing wax and a BLACK & DECKER sander, with a buffing pad on it.  Came out real good.  There were a couple deeper gouges near the area were you put your feet and I buffed those out also but had to add touch-up paint with a Q-TIP because they were more than surface scratches.

The dealer wants $150 to de-restrict.........should I just do it myself?
Thanks Agent Bob, I think you're right about the keys.  I need to get a new key ring soon.

Check out how I modified the throttle so that I can drive it!!!! My right hand is somewhat paralyzed from compartment syndrome and my wrist doesn't work properly and I wear a brace.  So I went to ACE HARDWARE and got a c-clamp and a piece of metal.  Bent the metal into "L" shape and clamped it on.  Now all I have to do is pull down for go and push up for stop.  In therapy now and should regain full use of my hand and wrist by May 2011.  I can still pull on the front brake lever somewhat, but rely more on the rear brake.

Yes, that is going by the speedometer.  I have a GPS that I could try it with.  How much would I expect to gain by de-restricting?  Agility 50 is sweet BTW.

Thanks ya'll.  Do you think that it has been de-restricted since it goes @35 mph????

Just got me a PEOPLE S 50 4T......VERRRRRY HAPPY with it.  Goes 36 mph.  Just changed oil cause "service" signal started flashing.  Just turned 3000 kilometers.  2007 model.  Runs great.  Found on Craig's List.  Got the manual on-line and did all the service myself.  Love this site too.  Sharing pic.

I bought a used Kymco People S 50 4T.  The "service" light came on.  Does this mean that it is time to add oil?  What type oil?  Where do you add it to?  I love it and no helmet law in this state is cool too........It has 1,500 miles and i paid $1,500.  It is a 2008 model I believe.
