So, new battery fitted and everything is back to how it should be!.....

Carb has been cleaned, fuel tank has been drained and fresh fuel added.
Quad runs fine with hazard lights on (all 4 turn signals switched on) and the digital dash works, turn off the Hazard lights and the engine runs but the digital dash goes off and it cuts out when selecting gear...

New battery arrived today so Ill fit it and see if it makes any difference...

MXU / MXU 150 Stalls when engaging gear and other electrical issues
« on: April 07, 2020, 03:22:12 PM »
OK so my MXU 150 has been standing unused for the winter, my solar charger let me down and the battery is flat (new one on order) so obviously it will not start on the button, but it will start on the kicksarter. However when I put it into gear it stalls - I have the left hand brake applied and it is in neutral.......the digital display on the dash does not come on, the neutral light works. By accident I found that if the hazard lights are switched on, the dash lights up and it doesn't stall when I engage gear......
Im guessing the dash etc is finding earth through the Hazard lights circuit?
The thing is usable with the hazards blinking away, but I would like to sort it out so it works correctly...(Ive removed the indicator (Turn Signal) bulbs so just the dash lights blink...)
So far Ive cleaned and greased the battery and starter solenoid terminals and cleaned and greased the earth terminal on the engine.....Ive also accessed all the multi plugs under the front bodywork, sprayed with WD40 and reassembled with a bit of grease....same with the dash multi plug and have sprayed Wd40 into the handlebar switches.......
Any suggestions where to look next?

MXU / Re: Still No brakes

Tony,
If there are no air leaks then I dont see why you can't get them bled through, unless your method is wrong somehow, I'm going to write how I would do it, please don't be offended if this is what you are already doing!
Undo bleed nipple half a turn, pull in brake lever, keep it held in while fluid/air squirts out, keep it held in and tighten the bleed nipple...repeat until just fluid squirts out with no air...

Can you confirm thats your method? If not give it a go, if it is your method, then I think you have another issue, but I dont think it will be because the disc rotor is worn, that would just need a bit more fluid in the system to compensate
