People GT 300i / No Electrical Power, No Clue
« on: June 28, 2019, 06:05:51 AM »
2016 People GT300i (duh). Had been riding around town making several stops. Everything about performance was fine. No problems starting. Turn the key to start after my final stop and I have barely a trickle of electrical power. So weak that when I pull the brake lever to start it pulls what little remaining charge out completely. Checked fuses, tested battery, no problems with either. Had been showing zero signs of struggle up to that point.
Other info that might be pertinent:
-Close to 6000 miles (scheduled maintenance coming up; coolant flush and fuel injectors)
-Kept up with all other scheduled maintenance thus far
-It's really hot and humid here (New Orleans)
-I ride every day and stop and start the engine 10+ times
-Brake levers (particularly the left one) pull charge a little bit, but noticeably, when I'm at idle (the lights dim slightly and the idle speeds up). This has happened on every bike I've ever owned so wasn't sure if it was a major issue or not, but being electrical I figured mention it.
-Bought this bike near new so this is the first issue I've had
Thanks for your thoughts!
