Agility 125 / Re: Dim headlight / no signals / no parking lights

Hi!  Thanks for responding!  When I flash to pass, it'll give me a bright light.  When I leave the light in high-beam mode, it's still dim.  Strange, I know.

I've been so busy with work and it's been so hot in my area.  The scooter's just been sitting in a corner.  I might just take it to the local motorcycle repair shop to get it taken care of.  That or I can keep throwing parts at it.  The only other thing I can think of is replacing the entire grip module for the lights?

Whoa hey thanks for responding.  I've just been holding off on riding it at night.  Been contemplating bringing it to the motorcycle mechanic at the risk of getting charged up the wazoo.

Brake light switch is faulty?  I'll go buy one and pop it in.  Thanks again!

Agility 125 / Dim headlight / no signals / no parking lights

HI everyone!

I'm a long time 2-wheeler rider but first-time scooter owner.  Just picked up a 2013 Kymco Agility 125 for cheap.  It was cheap because it comes with some electrical gremlins.

So here's the breakdown.

When I first bought it, the headlight and brake light wasn't working.  Only the front left turn signal worked but it just stayed solid whenever the signal was used.

I took it home, ripped it apart and found out that all the bulbs were blown out.  I ordered new bulbs, a new rectifier and a signal relay.

I put them all in and I get a dim headlight but a normal looking flash-to-pass beam ( voltage measured about 2V and 10V, respectively, at the bulb ).  No turn signals work.  Brake light now works but parking lights are still not working so no riding at night.

I should also add that originally, the fuses in the floorboard were exposed with no protection.  I snipped em off and replaced em with proper in-line holders and the accompanying 7A fuses.  Also, on that note, if I disconnect the red wire fuse, the headlight brightens up on low beam.

I've tested all the grounds for continuity including the ones behind the front plastics and under the seat.  I'm not super electrically inclined, however so I need your guys' help on this, please! Otherwise this thing's going to be a daytime only scooter, which sucks, because it's 100F+ in the daytime right now.

Thanks in advance!
