Yeah good call. Glad it worked our for you.  Like I said earlier  I rode two up with my wife on our old 2006 vino classic in the past and in the small town we lived in at the time we didn't have any problems and it was a blast. Enjoy the ride and be safe.

This is pretty awesome. A scooter rider tracks down her stolen scooter using facebook.

It took me a while but I figured it out.  Not what the manual said from what I understand.  You just hold both of the buttons down for a couple seconds (until the time start flashing).  Then I don't remember exactly which button does what but one button switches between hour, min and date and the other changes the time.  When you are done just hold both buttons down until it stops flashing.

People 150 / Re: Dowco cover size for People 150?
« on: April 11, 2011, 05:30:40 PM »
No my scooter does not have a windshield beside the stock one which is really small.  I have not been able to find an aftermarket windshield for my super 8.  The fabric seems to be pretty strong to me but it would probably be good to go larger because constant strain on the seams could shorten the life. But all in all it is a pretty good cover.  Don't have anything to compare it to but its seems to be good quality to me.

Morning.  I just got the Dowco scooter cover for my Super 8 150.  I ordered the large and it fits great.  The only thing that I can see is that the large is made to go on a 150 with a topcase so the back to the portion of the cover that is suppose to go next to the exhaust (has a heat shield) is a little lower but that is not a problem for me since I might be getting at top case sooner or later.

Yeah nice picture.  I was just thinking the same thing about dragging the center stand.  Done that a couple times on my Super 8.

So no problems last night or today.  It started just fine and rode off no problem. Must have been vapor lock.  But I did have another somewhat unrelated problem.  When I am waiting at a stop light at night my headlight dim pretty low.  Is that normal when the scooter is idling.  I want to be as visible as possible even when I am not moving so it kind of concerns me.  I normally just give it some gas to brighten the lights but it would be nice to not have to do that.  Thanks.

General Discussion / Re: DT 300i Kick Start!
« on: March 18, 2011, 06:52:48 PM »
On my old 06 Vino classic (4 stroke) i ran into a handful of situations where the kick start came in handy. When I was looking to buy my Kymco Super 8 I was also looking at the Piaggio Fly 150.  One of the deciding factors was the fact that the Fly 150 didn't have a kick start.  I like the sense of security provided by having a kick start and am sure it will come in handy at times.

It was probably in the 50's so wouldn't say warm. But I will check the cap when I head home tonight.

Super 8 150 / Weird Incident with Scooter
« on: March 17, 2011, 03:09:42 PM »
So this morning when I was going to go to work and my scooter did something weird.  Initially I started it this morning got my gear on and then gave it gas to leave and it just died.  Figured it was because it was cold, not a big deal.  Restarted and I was off no problem.  Stopped at the gas station and filled it up. Not quite to the top of the tank.  I could see that the gas was probably a couple inches from the hole.  Well left the gas station was about to turn at a stop light but when I gave it gas it died again.  Restarted and then same thing.  So I pushed it over to a parking lot and sat in there for about 10 min or more giving it gas and then it dying on me. Well finally got it to go and went to leave the parking lot.  Had to stop before pulling out to wait for cars, well it died on me again when i gave it gas.  Pulled it back into the parking lot and after another 5 min I got it to go and was able to get to work.  During this whole incident it idled just fine.  Only died when I gave it gas.  Its brand new, only has 57 miles on it.  I heard that if you overfill the tank you could have this problem, is that what this was?  Hope it gets me home after work.  Any insight it greatly appreciated.  Thanks

Wow crazy!. When I lived in snow Idaho I would ride my scooter at the beginning of winter but once the snow started to really stick my scooter got stored for the season.
