Stig I didn’t put it down, but I did buy it used. The fuse problem started a few days ago. The engine light has been on for a few weeks.

For Sale / 2015 Downtown 300i for sale
« on: May 04, 2020, 11:17:21 PM »
Up for sale is my 2015 Kymco Downtown 300i. Disclaimer: This bike is having a weird electrical issue. The fuse that controls the dash(turn signals, headlights, starter, etc) seems to be blowing, and it’s connected to the turn signals. Apart from that, it’s showing an engine code 9, faulty MAP sensor, that I also don’t know how to fix. Other than that, the bike runs perfectly, and hasn’t had any mechanical issues. It’s still very low mileage, so this would be a great buy for someone who knows how to fix it, and possibly flip it. This bike easily goes 80 mph on the freeway, and is very easily driven through traffic on surface streets. Title in hand, I take all mobile payment methods. Let me know if you have any questions/offers. Thank you!

Downtown 300 / Re: Fuse Issues

It’s a 2015 downtown 300, with 5K miles. Never crashed(at least not by me, and doesn’t appear to have any damage) , and I keep it in my car port, although I’m not sure how the previous owner stored it. The engine bay looks spotless.

Downtown 300 / Fuse Issues
« on: April 30, 2020, 04:17:45 PM »
Situation: Pulled into my neighborhood the other day, and I look down; The display and all dash electronics are blank! No speedo, lights, Sig lights, nothing. But I still had throttle response. A friendly member of the FB group helped me determine that the fuse had blown(second in from the left) and I put the spare in. Boom, it started right back up, and everything worked. I took it for a test drive, and within two minutes, the dash was blank again. Worth noting that engine code 09 has been flashing for several weeks, which says it’s a faulty MAP sensor, but I checked on that previously, and couldn’t find any problems. I know I can get more fuses,  but how do I troubleshoot this, and prevent any more blown fuses? Also, how do I fix the 09 engine code? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Downtown 300 / New to scooting, found a great deal?
« on: January 19, 2020, 11:46:18 AM »
Hello! I’m so glad I found this forum!

So I found a 2011 Downtown 300i with 20,000 miles on it, and I talked the gentleman down to $1500 from his asking of $1750. I have all the questions!

Is that considered high miles for a scooter like that?
Should I have it serviced right away to see if the owner kept up properly? Is that a good deal?
My thinking is that even if it only lasts another 20k, it’s worth the money, at that price. In the best case scenario, how long do these things last? Thanks in advance!
