Thanks for the tip but I have tried running without the gas tank cap, on it made no difference But I do agree with you and I know it can happen like this it can cause a vacuum in the tank and stop the fuel running down to the carb. I will keep on trying.

Hi tech guy
I live in the U/K so things are a bit different over here. I am going along the way of thinking that the problem is probably down to the carburretor flooding when I shut the throttle, which would explain the good running untill i slow down for a junction after the engine is warm, I am going to check the float needle for wear next.My own thing is Triumph motorcycles not the modern ones but 60s models I have no idea about 2 strokes, and the last carburretor aia had in peices was an Amal monobloc. I would expect the theory is the same.

Hi everyone I have a problem with my SX SUPER FEVER 50 It starts and runs but dies the first time you have to stop at a junction and will not start again, after 5 minutes standing it will start and tickovr but not rev give it another 5 minutes it will start and run really well after a mile or so it will go through the same process again and so on and on. It has been into the local dealers for months and has had a new cdi unit/new coil/new plug/a rebore and new piston a new choke unit (auto by starter) in the end the dealer returned it to me with a huge bill and an apology : I am sorry we have done what we can but the problem is still there we can,t find out what it is, so you will have to put up with it: Please has someone any idea how to get this problem sorted.
