Xciting 500 / bulb type for HID conversion

Hi

Going to install a HID conversion on my Xciting 500i; need some help please...

What is the stock main headlight bulb type (H1, H2, H3...) and is it Hi/Lo or Bi-Xenon.
Also, is this bike controlled via CANBUS ?

UK Petrol always will mark/stain plastics is spilt. Its a common problem - people will often say "oh I spilt a bit of fuel" but never happened to me until now - so I have never asked for a solution until now. I've asked others what they have done but no one knows a fix - they just "live with it"

For the second question, you can paint the black plastic with flat black paint. That's the second option.

Sorry, I know what Silicone is, I was querying what it does in terms of this application - i.e. is it removing petrol , or is it loosening the paint, or something else. What did you suggest using silicone?

what does the silicone do?

the petrol appears to have "scarred" the black plastics. The white streaks seem permanent. Armour-all , back-to-black, AG bumper care, shoe polish, etc are only cosmetic fixes , the streaks reappear. Is there a way of removing the petrol/petrol scarring in the plastic?

Kymco 2007 500i - never swept and i've two pals at work who have the same machine albeit newer by 1 and 2 yrs. None of these bikes have sweeping needles.

Armor all - no effect
Back to black - no effect
Boot polish - washes off

I think the issue here is that the paint has damaged the plastic ????

Filling up with fuel and petrol gushed over the black plastics. Washed down when I got home but there are white streaks all over the black plastics. Can I remove them, how? or do i need to respray my plastics - if so what with?

2 slightly different informations (my dealers answer much newer than the forums post), I trust my dealer since we had this conservation while he placed Dr.Pulley spare parts in my Xciting.
Speed restriction wouldn't make sense in Germany (unlimited "Autobahn") and our Xcitings are registered with 147kph. That's very similar to iolite experience.
Probably there are slightly different Xcitings in the world!?

Ich teilweise zustimmen. Langsamfahrstelle macht keinen Sinn.

My Xciting is registered with a higher BHP ( Pferdestärke ) than a 50cc.

A removable washer on an Xciting 500 does not make sense. I would sure like to know what it does. But I cannot think why you would want to remove a washer that the manufacturer has built into the machine. It is there for a reason.

The manufacturer would have put it there for a reason. I doubt that it is to restrict the speed. Speed restriction is to UK and only for 50cc.

It must be there for another reason.

What is the "restrictive washer on the variator"? where was it reported earlier?
I'm interested in this mod. What does it do?

EDIT: I know 50cc have this, but why would a 500 have it. There is no speed restriction on a 500, not in UK anyway.

I own a 2007 500i Xciting.
I have a workshop/service/repair (call it what you will but its not the owner manual) manual for the 500, which refers to the carb et.al. and no mention of AFI.

Can anyone provide a link to a 500i workshop manual? I'm happy to share my 500 manual.

I've googled and binged with no success. Searched forums and tried engines like lycos and alike. Nothing.
In the event that no one can provide a workling link, then would the 500 manual be okay unless of course I wanted to do some AFI work/service, or are there other differences between 500 and 500i other than AFI?

Just purchased my 500i this weekend.
Had slight niggle cold starting and had to run without the lights on during the commute.
This tip solved my problems.
