@CROSSBOLT - did you ever get this resolved?
I am getting what sounds like the exact same issue on my Mongoose 300. I also went through basically the same steps; spark plug was wet went it was pulled. No spark when grounding. Tried new spark plug with the same results. Tested the coil and getting 3.1 resistance between the positive and negative plug (seems borderline to me, does anyone know if this is an acceptable range for this ATV?) and 19k resistance between the positive plug and the spark plug cap. Followed all the wires and all look good with no fraying anywhere. I also checked all fuses and they were fine.
At this time I am leaning towards it being a bad CDI.
Does anyone have a good way to bypass or check all the kill switches to make sure this is not an issue before I fork over cash for a new CDI? I read you can cut one of the wires that goes to the CDI to bypass the kill switches but I am not sure which one it is. Also does anyone have a good way to test the CDI?
