General Discussion / starting problem please help me :(
« on: June 15, 2011, 02:16:20 PM »
hello everyone, i have a kymco super 8 2stroke, and about 3 weeks ago, i wired the battery up the wrong way around and blew the fuse, (fail on my behalf i know) so i changed the fuse and all was well, and working fine, the around a week after this happend, my speedfight just died on my after leaving it to idle for around 10 mins, and i couldnt get it started again, so i bought a new spark plug, and it worked great. but around 2 weeks later, it did the same thing, and died on me again, and now i cant get it started :(. what do you think is wrong with it? do you think me wiring up the battery the wrong way aroung could have something to do with it?
thank you for all your help, and time reading this, manythanks :)

General Discussion / Re: scooter revs but doesnt move

Best Case:  Clutch problems - Take it off and make sure everything moves as it should.  This would be my current bet.

Worst Case:  Your differential is destroyed - With the variator cover off, and the motor off, rotate the back tire by hand.  What does the rear pulley do?
when it is on the3 center stand and i rev it, the rear wheel moves completely fine

cheers for all the replys, and yes all of that is working...it is hard to explain over this forum without you seeing it, but when i pull the throttle all the way back, it revs but only moves a little, then it will just pick up again, sounds like something is slipping?
