pull your carb, and clean every passage way on it, blow Carb cleaner through every circuit.
sounds like your pilot jet may be partially blocked. also there are somes small holes under the throttle butterfly, these are transition holes, if you spray carb cleaner through the pilot circuit you should see it come out of those holes.

I know this post is pretty old but does anyone know where the resistor is located or if you have a picture of where it's mounted on the scooter? thanks!

I'm guessing fuel, disconnect the fuel inlet line going to the carb, crank the engine and you should have gas pumping out of the line. If you don't it could be the fuel pump.
And yes its a Vacuum Fuel pump, it runs off of crankcase vacuum also check your Vacuum line to see if it's connected.

I looked at the Electrical diagram and saw there was a 7 Ohm 5W resistor, I also forgot to mention that when cold my scooter will Idle up for about 2 seconds then idle down and eventually stall unless I add throttle.

I'm thinking that this resistor went bad and its sending higher wattage to the Bystarter causing it to close the enricher circuit quickly instead of slowly.
when I get time i'm going to either put in a resistor in the Bystarter circuit or just disconnect the bystarter connections to see if it fast idles for longer than 2 seconds.

I checked all of the fuses in the back box, all are good.
also checked the resistance on both old and new bystarters and they're in spec

Looking for some guidance, My scooter starts right up but dies after a few seconds of idling, after a short warm up it idles smoothly.
I determined my Auto bystarter was not functional so i replaced it with an NCY replacement Bystarter, It's identical to the OEM one.
Installed the new bystarter and same issue, I turned the key on for about 5 minutes and no movement from the bystarter needle. I probed the 2 wires and I have no voltage on the 2 wires. Maybe it's related or not, my trunk light doesn't work, not sure if the switch in the trunk latch is bad or what, also my left mirror is missing (nothing connected to the plug)

does anyone have any tips?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like the valve floated and made contact with the piston possibly due to over rev.
Here is a pic of my Skyteam 125 head with a bent valve. It's an easy swap, the only tricky part is getting the valve keepers back in.

Try adjusting your valves to see if compression returns. Did the engine just die on you when it was running last? A sudden loss of compression could be a bent valve, piston rings lined up etc.

Call your local Kymco dealer (if you have one close by) and have them order you the part. If you don't have a local dealer just call the closest one or go to their website parts section, you can probably have them ship to you.
