Not much of a solution. Found a post where there is a factory made seat without the butt stop through your friendly and expensive dealer.

The ignition key - seat opening operation is sluggish. Very difficult to open it. How can it be adjusted?

A great scooter...love it. Probably a dumb question: this unit is not really made for a taller person (6' - 0") If there was not a back rest at the drivers seat position it would allow me to move back, create more leg and torso room. I bought this model and drive all over Mexico where you can two and three up with the kids. Perfect for what I want, but not comfortable for longer rides.
Are there anu seat solutions for a modified seat? I'd like to buy a salvages seat somewhere...send it to my upholsterer for a remodel....if not.
