Avatar changed ...reason why Bono chosen in the first place is that it is practically the first thing that pops up on registering and to be honest I was more interested in the forum (problem solving) than anything else. MCs are more of a heritage than anything else for me. Grandpa and my dad in pic dated 1954.

@EVS,
wonderful to read it worked. When you assamble your fairing again, put on each "nose" a good smear of silicon grease, helps a lot for next time and makes joining much easier.
Thanks a lot for your help @Rufus. I enclose diagram of Handle Bar fairing for perusal by readers.

Thanks Rufus. I removed all screws and I do have an image of the Agility 6+ Handle bar fairing (not detailed enough) The structure did separate from the lower end ...however the  top seam is immovable. My dilemma is that I do not know the role of  the rectangular frame which covers the instrument panel and  fear that should I keep stressing it further could damage instruments.
I appreciate your hint about the spatula...and will try it. Thanks.

13.01 - Hi Rufus.....Your trick worked a treat"!"!!!!!! a really Good Friday!!!!

I have found the root of the whole issue. The front cone is fixed to the steering column as per photo . Points are marked with a white arrow!! It is the back (black) section that needs to come off...and it includes all the instrument panel in one piece. I can now continue to dismantle accelerator grip. I would recommend that surfaces (close to section including horn etc as per photo) are covered with cloth to avoid scratching.

Have a great Easter!!

My accelerator cable conked our after 7000 kilometers. I decided I need to start doing some things myself on the scooter. Got the part and started the whole dismantling procedure to track the cable. All ok but now I am unable to open up the handle bar cover fairing to access grip mounting.(see attachment). Looked at a lot of sites etc, Any advice on how to proceed ??
