I'd definitely be happy to join you guys when you next do one, well done all.date=1631698463
Good to report meeting up with another Forum member the other day for a snatched ride out in between (his) work commitments.  Turns out @Viper254 only lives a 20 minute ride from me and so we agreed to meet up at a midway point for a gentle bimble through some local country lanes.

Sorry, no photos on this occasion, so you'll have to take me on trust for this account.  Viper has finally got his Honda C70 back on the road, but claimed it only hits a reliable 45 mph top whack, so we took it easy - though afterwards I pointed out that I was reading 50 mph on the X-Town and he was keeping up!  It was an enjoyable outing which revealed the C70's new rear shocks were a big improvement, but have now exposed the limitations of the aged front wheel spindle bearings!  More work to be done.

Hopefully our next ride will be less rushed and if so, I will get the camera out to record the day.

I was in staff quarters at HMP Pentonville chatting to my Father on the phone, both watching the TV. We were speaking as the second plane hit, a day, event I will never ever forget. RIP all.

Hi Mike, my name is Woody and I'm based in the UK. I also have the X town 300i and I absolutely love it. Mine is a 2019 plate
and I absolutely love it. It's the first time I've tried a Kymco but really do rate this scoot. Good luck and I hope you enjoy
it like me!! 👍 dateee=1630226546]
My name is Mike Haggerty, and I live in Syracuse, NY. I first joined this forum back in 2010. I first had a People 150, then moved up to a 300 GTI. I sold it to poppajim back in 2017. Now it 2021, and I've decided to buy another scooter. I'm 77 now, but still get around pretty well and really miss my scooter. I'm thinking about a new X-Town 300i ABS. I'm looking for some feedback on how you folks like this model. My E-mail is mrmikesdeuce@aol.com. Please give me a shout with your comments.

Took a leaf out of Stig's book and got today's riding done before it gets too hot.

We've had a Met Office warning of dangerous heat for the next couple of days with the mercury registering 30-33c (85-92f) which, although no worse than we used to get in the summer at our Malta home, it just seems so much worse here in Britain.  Maybe it's the humidity and where we are, being 100 miles from the coast, there's not a breath of air.  So, off to the shop early doors for some essential supplies and made sure to park in the shade.  Still had to peel my kit off on returning home.  Not complaining though, rain is forecast next week :(

Absolutely Neil, as you know I'm not to far away and the heat is really unusual. Still, I'm a Prison Officer and off for a few days luckily, the heat really brings the worst out in some folk!! Even worse, it's too hot to ride the Peak District in all the gear, let's hope it gets a little cooler!! ( I know, us Brits love to moan about the weather!😂)
