James, did you have any luck with other dealers in TX? TJ's doesn't seem to have a particularly good standing with Kymco. Either that or they don't seem to know how to get parts, which would be odd to say the least. It took them almost four months to get a mirror for my Like 150i last year.

Not sure if this question is aime at me or KK / Klav?
It was aimed at the Kymco LIKE 150i owners  ;)
But thanks anyway.

They are just as strict, that is true, but they are different and, most importantly, not recognized either way. Which means that a helmet that meets the US DOT motorcycle helmet standard FMVSS 218 and has the DOT sticker on it is just as safe as a helmet that meets the European motorcycle helmet standard ECE 22.05 but is technically not legal to use on European roads and would be considered riding without a helmet if push comes to shove. I have actually witnessed that happen once in Italy many years ago.

The same might happen here in the US although the story is much more complicated because the US are comprised of 50 states with 50 different motorcycle helmet laws. If your specific state requires a helmet to be worn and defines the standard it needs to meet, aka DOT FMVSS 218, wearing a European one that meets ECE 22.05 instead and therefore doesn't have the DOT sticker on the back would technically not be considered an approved and accepted helmet even though it might meet all requirements but simply has never been tested.

What top case and luggage rack are you using? I find it almost impossible to find accessories for Kymco scooters in the US.

General Discussion / Spare key for LIKE 150i
« on: July 21, 2021, 08:20:59 PM »
I have purchased a used 2019 Kymco LIKE 150i today. Unfortunately, and unbeknownst to me, it only came with a single key.
My key looks exactly like the one posted by user Grumpet three years ago: https://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=25567.0

Unfortunately, his old eBay link to a spare key holder on eBay no longer works and that user was last active in February of 2018. I've been looking around the interwebs for a spare but cannot locate anything. A shop in Poland has them listed but as sold out. If I am not mistaken I need part number 35111-LDC1-307-M1, see attachment. I'm located in the US but have family that I can ship this to in Europe as well, so either continent would work.

Does anyone know where and how I could obtain a spare part? The dealer I bought this scooter from has unfortunately not been a big help so far.
