People GT 300i / Re: Best Place to Tie Down for Trailering

I use a Canyon Dancer that I have left over from my sport bike days. I see they're still available on the Internet. Hope this helps.

I've got Givis on both of mine. They are light and strong. No disappointments.

Both of our scoots have Givi cases. They work great and are lightweight. My E30 is similar to the first one listed. It's a little smaller than my wife's E360 and seems to be more proportional for the scooter. I like the third brake light option for safety.

People 150 / Re: Mirrors help - windscreen is the answer?

The Puig windscreen helps. The mounting hardware sets the mirrors a little more out and slightly up. I never noticed this until I read your post. I'm 6' 1" and my wife's 150 gives me no problem, but it's had the windscreen on from day one. The Puig is a really nice piece. Hope this helps.

General Discussion / Re: Two Oil Drain PLugs?
« on: June 16, 2011, 12:28:02 AM »
I'm fairly sure the small drain is for convenience. When you remove it the oil flows out in a stream. After that drains there is only a small amount of oil that drains when you pull the larger filter plug. I assume it would be quite messy to pull the large plug with a full crankcase. I do small, then large on my people 250 and it's quite simple. My $0.02, best of luck.

People 250 / Brake Light Wire Colors - Givi Case
« on: May 31, 2011, 03:36:07 AM »
I almost never found this info. I just thought it might keep someone else from pulling their hair out. When installing a Givi brake light conversion, you are looking for a green w/ yellow stripe (+) and solid green (-) wire. The only wiring diagram I could find was so blurry that I couldn't make out the colors. I hope this helps.

Technical | How To / Re: paint codes for kymco
« on: April 24, 2011, 01:11:05 AM »
Any good paint supply store should have a color scanner. All you have to do is ride the scooter to the store and the paint guy will bring a small hand-held device out to your scoot and scan the color. Then he can plug it in his system and mix as much color as you need. These scanners are very accurate now. They also eliminate manufacturer color variations. Plus, if your paint is faded from age, even slightly, you'll have a better match than a straight code mix. Good luck.
