All,
I changed my stator out for a new one, but put one not exactly meant for my scooter.
The stator I removed was definitely burnt, so I'm glad I found it. It had a yellow, white and blue wire to the pickup. The stator I replaced it with has a yellow wire, white wire, green wire, red wire and bluewire to the pickup.
I thought I could get the new one to work by matching the colored wires I did have, thinking that the green was a ground, and the red one was an accessory 12v. Once I soldered them all together, shrink wrapped them and tried to start it, it will not spark. I left the green wire and red wire capped.
Is there a way to make this new stator work? I can order a replacement stator, but want to use the one I have if possible.
Thanks for the help!
