Yes it was under warranty, what the garage are saying, is because the engine casing needed replacing companies dont allow for this only making casings for the production line, no spares so when you need one it has to be manufactured. so beware!

what I found best is a proper bike jacket, layered for all seasons, draggin jeans, and I bought a cheap pair of waterproof pants to go over jeans from camping shop, keep them under the seat incase it rains and never get wet again. If you wear a leather jacket, I do some times. I have a cheap waterproof top also under seat waterproofs rolled up take up little room. Works for me.

Downtown 300 / A first in Australia

Well it has finally happened, picked up my downtown 300i in Burnt Orange on saturday, no bandging yet thats still on the way, but it is the only orange one in aus, it looks good without the abs & downtown badges, tried to put a picture on site but no luck. Is it worth getting the badging when it arrives I haven't seen what one looks like with them on. Already got 400klms on clock and loving it.

I have had a 150 espresso since new, have had it serviced when needed, it is due for 18,000 klm now but runs like a dream if the one one you are buying has been serviced properly I don't think you will have any problems, happy riding.

Sorry for your loss, it's a reality check for anyone riding bikes or scooters, in a car you can sometimes get away with mistakes, very rarely on a scooter will you, In australia we have stay upright who run courses teaching beginners through to experienced riders skills to keep them upright, they are licensed through our Registration branch in each state, if you have something similar in the states I recommend them to all riders. be safe out there.

I have had a Kymco people 150cc since 2009 I think you will find the 50cc boring, the 150cc is a great little scooter good around town or out on the road, I took mine to tasmania and the 15" wheels make for a great ride on any road, updating soon but I'm keeping my bug couldn't part with it.

Candy apple red wasn't an option I would like to see what that color looks like, but the burnt orange looks really cool with the black trim.
