For Sale / Selling the 2022 Super 8 150X - REDUCED!
« on: May 30, 2023, 11:42:11 PM »
Ok, I guess that I was a little over ambitious..... Asking price reduced.

We are moving out of the US, and we are reducing weight on everything.

So, I'm afraid she has to go.

I got it on May 20th of 2022 and it has been my daily commuter.

Home to work to home every day... About 8-10 miles depending on which route I take.

Full disclosure: I parked it on uneven pavement behind my office and it fell over.

Scratched the white cowling by the seat. I touched it up with auto paint. But, it's still obvious. See pic.

Also, the pillion foot rest is scratched, rear brake lever end scratched, and front left turn signal was broken.

I have epoxied it, but it's kinda ugly. See pics.

I've had it regularly maintained at Powersports Outlet in Prescott, AZ.

And I am taking it in for servicing next week.

She's a lovely little machine and has never let me down. Even in the dead of winter.

Always ready to go and starts no problem.

Asking $1,500.....

Feel free to ask me anything you like about it.

And if you want better pics, I can send them.

Thanks, A

Super 8 150 / Fuel gauge stuck?
« on: October 13, 2022, 10:05:44 PM »
Ok, so my fuel gauge is acting crazy.

And the best I can figure is it's getting stuck.

It works fine until you get to about 1/4 of a tank.

It continues to show 1/4 until it runs out of gas.

ARGH!!

Has anyone else had this issue?

Thanks!
What is that...almost looks like salt coming out of the road?
Stig

I'm not sure. It's frothy like soap. But, not really slippery.

I had a yellow Hindustan Ambassador about 35 years ago....

I loved it!

That's not it in the pic. But, it's almost identical to my old one.

Super 8 150 / Rider IN the storm?!?!
« on: August 09, 2022, 09:14:13 PM »
So, I was riding home last night and trying to beat the oncoming storm.

Long story short, I didn't make it.  :P

Rolled up to the condo like a drowned rat.

Soaked to the skin, I quickly grabbed my scooter cover and threw it over the drenched bike.

No garage or covered parking..... UGH!

I went out later and dried off the seat and platform.

Shook the water off the cover and replaced it.

It started fine this morning.

So, my question to the masses is, exactly how waterproof are our Kymco scooters??

Make with the opinions! :)

Super 8 150 / Re: Installed- Follow up to top box light question

Ah yes!  This is also what I thought.

The green/yellow wire is the brake light.

Thanks!

I figure that I have the right method to access the back of the tail light assembly.

Apparently, there are three wires. Green/Yellow, Green, and Brown.

From observing a pic of the assembly, I assume the solid green is ground.

I just need to figure out which one of the others is the brake light.

And the gauge of the wires to select the proper posi-tap connectors.

Thanks for the advice. I purchased an electronic version of a manual from Amazon.

It wasn't very helpful to be honest.

All it showed was how to change the bulb.

No wiring diagrams at all.

Is this the same book?

I attached an image to compare.

Thanks!

Super 8 150 / Shad brake light wiring??
« on: July 15, 2022, 08:02:49 PM »
Hello there! I have a newly purchased 2022 Super 8 150X.   I want to install the Shad brake light with my top case.

However, I am having trouble finding instructions on tying into the existing brake light wiring.

I have been told to remove the seat, then the gas tank can be moved to access the wiring.

Does anyone know how accurate this is?

Also, if you know the wiring arrangement...ie: ground, brake, tail light... That would also be most helpful.

Thanks in advance!
