Wonderful photo!
Big big fan of night shots!
Also, envious of your absence of light pollution in your night sky!
Curious....taken with what camera, or cell phone?
Please keep shooting..and posting!

Stig

Thank you :-D
Oh the light pollution was there, just not in that direction. Behind that hill in the background is the Pacific Ocean.
The shot was taken on an iPhone 13 Pro, disabled flash, let the camera app switched to slow shutter (3 seconds). To stabilise the shot, I rested the side of the phone against a lamp post.

Here the view 90 degrees to the left.

welcome to the forum! (not sure if we've given you a proper welcome?)

One of my favorite youtube moto vloggers is Danny Hayes (aka The Million Dollar Bogan). He lives in Melbourne and has ridden various bikes all over Australia. I always enjoy seeing the different parts of Australia, beautiful country!

I don't think I did introduce myself either 😱.
Anyway, thank you :-)

I'll check Danny's channel out.
Australia is indeed a beautiful place.

Took her out for her first real ride (25min one way) to a local cliff by the ocean. The work on the suspensions was all worth it. No back pain so far.

As mentioned in my fork oil thread, I changed the original ones (14 year old) to a pair of regular YSS 40028. A G-Sport (gas) would have been better but these ones made huge difference. I'm not sure how the stock ones were when new but when I removed them they were very hard to push down and felt a bit sticky. They were probably the reason why my back is now sh**ty. After recovery I'll see how the new one will affect me but so far with the few rides since the change, I could feel it's so smooth that I could not recognise the same roads I usually take, I used to feel all their imperfections, now it's like riding on a cloud. Of course, the new suspensions don't remove all vibrations, medium bumps are still felt but are not jarring.

The rear YSS in combo with fork oil change definitely did change the rides for the better.

It was YSS 40028 with a length of 330mm.

Next time I change them, I'll go for a gas one, maybe their G-Sport.

I once accidentally did 22 / 32 PSI and it handled pretty nicely, however it was a bit hard on my lower back so I decided to go back to 29.

The manual recommends for solo riders 22 / 29 PSI.
However, we've installed new tyres of different brand. Should I keep the same pressure or it should be changed according to the tyre brand?

I only had to separate the dashboard and the cover it's attached to. I had to unscrew the speedometer rod out of it to be able to move it out enough to access the master cylinder. Definitely more challenging the process to change the fork oil.

When I changed my stock rear suspensions with YSS ones, I did notice the stock ones were old and were very hard to push down while the YSS were very smooth.
When I removed the fork suspensions, they seemed quite smooth already so I was sceptical that changing their oil would help with anything but I did it anyway. The oil that came out was all black and stinky so it's a good thing anyway. However, when I went for a test ride, it did improve it, going on small bumps on the road would jerk the scooter up while it's a lot smoother now. Will be definitely better for the wrists as well. Worth the effort.

So I followed the other post to change my fork oil but for some reason after putting all back together the front brake stopped working. The brake lever is all soft and would travel all the way towards the handle bar. It does apply a tiny amount of brake but I could still move the wheel by pushing it a bit.

What’s happened?
How can I fix this?

Thanks
Huy

I ended up buying a handlebar phone holder and built side mirror adaptor for it.
The adapter is composed of:
- An aluminium flat bar bent to an kind of 'S' shape. On one end a hole was drilled large enough to allow the mirror thread to go through. On the other end a hole was drilled to the size of a bolt.
- A short section of aluminium tube was cut and I drilled through it. This section was attached to the S bar above using bolt and nuts.

The handle bar phone holder was then clamped to the aluminium tube section above.

On my pictures, you could see some masking tape, this is because I chose a aluminium tube of too small diameter. The tape was to increase it.

Sorry for the delay, just saw the responses.
I actually managed to figure out the process after 3 hours removing screw by screw yesterday. What I ended up doing:
  • Remove seat + tub
  • Remove the luggage rack
  • Remove the fairings around the seat
  • I didn't need to remove the exhaust, just unscrew the two main bolts. That allowed me to move the exhaust slightly to give just enough space to slide the suspension's bolt out

Thank you

Hi all.
I have a 2008 People S 200 and would like to replace the rear shocks but they seem hard to reach. After unscrewing the seat the fuel tank is still in the way.

Reaching from the wheel might be OK but the bolt seem to be welded.

Is there an easy way?
Thanks
Huy
