Yes, Ruffus is serious and a v experienced mechanic. He’s helped many on here.
Ok thanks.  I’ll print his response and see if I can figure this out.

Try to:
-detach both battery cables for a few minutes (hold them together a couple of seconds)
-unplug/replug all sensor connectors
(cranksensor, TPS 2x, MAP -sensor, ECU,.....)

Try ECU  sync:
-ignition off
-throttle once full open and close
-ignition on
-for exact 8 seconds throttle full open
-throttle close
-ignition off

Jump start battery from a car, does it last ?

This 700 motors are known for failing CPS (CrankPositionSensor) and faulty Camshaft Position Sensors, both  going south at early kms.
Sorry but, were you serious about all that.  I may not be an experienced mechanic but that sounds a little out there.
Again, I’m sorry.

Good morning - welcome to the forum!

Dealer no help?, or?

Stig
I never found a dealer that was willing to offer advice or help to a diy-er except, bring it in, we’ll take a look.  And, short of renting a trailer I don’t have anyway to get it there.

Side By Side / 2019 kymco uxv 700i engine light comes on intermittently
« on: January 16, 2024, 09:34:26 PM »
My UXV 700's engine light comes on and turns off for no apparent reason.  The oil is full and pumping, it has coolant and it happens when the engine is cold.  I read something about codes but I don't have any way of knowing how to find that out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
