Fuel Injected Engines:
Code 54 - Camshaft (or distributor sync.) reference circuit - No camshaft position sensor signal detected during engine rotation.
Carb'ed Engines:
Code 54 - Mixture Control (MC) solenoid is shorted

thanks...did the check for the ignition coil with info from manual. all checked out
so only thing wrong it was wired wrong

« on: May 29, 2023, 05:31:02 AM »Got a photo, but color didn't come out good. Looking at the coil, it does have both connectors on the end . The bottom one is green, and the one on the top is black, when looking at the photo.

wiring diagram doesn't help....it shows two blade connectors one on front one on rear....mine has both on rear.....has anyone a photo of the coil on the scooter ?

the black wire & the green /striped one.....which wire is on top ?

yes....and it will involve dropping the engine out & stripping it apart

the crankshaft seems to have end float...it can move left/right to get that noise and on r/h side it also i think can move up /down
