Agility 125 / Re: NCY Super Transmission Set

Did some more tweaking on the slider tuning.  Was using 10.2 and 11.8, now down to three -10s & three-11.7s.  I think the NCY kit, plus the larger Malossi belt allow me to run lighter weights than other peeps.
We were riding the the kids on the back, and hills were killing us. The lower weights sure do keep the revs up.  It doesn't look like I've lost too much on the top end, can still do 60+/70 indicated in a tuck with just me on it.
The higher revs kick ass.... way more zippy now.  These things are a blast.

If you don't have an aftermarket variator, get one!.... The NCY trans kit is decent.

I'm digging the SL26's I just put on, waaaaaaaay more grippy then the stock ones.  The OEMs I could feel slip in the turns.  I run the pirellis to about 5 mil from the edge while hitting the twisties.  They don't last as long, but at forty something for a tire.... no big...... plus they seem to roll smoother.

Should be good, the drive face sometimes has a slightly different angle than the variator.  I accidentally put one on backwards and ran 2K miles on it before noticing it.... ooooops.  ;D

I'm running 11g sliders, 3-10.8 & 3-12.2.
NCY trans kit
Malossi belt.

I can still tuck and do 62-63mph.... or 72 indicated.

Yes, fuel consumption is higher, get a 50cc if you want better mileage.

I buy 18x14 rollers or sliders, and keep them in my garage.  I think 14gram are the OEM ones.  I'm running 3 10.8 & 3 12.2 sliders in mine.   I use a round file and a gram scale to make my own weight.  I'm running the NCY trans kit.

I use the Malossi belt from Italy, I bought 3 of them last year.  I have 2 scooters, so now I have one as a backup.

Hit youtube on how to change your belt, it's super easy.  You just need to get or make a variator tool.
Here is one you can make, just some flat bar from the hardware store, and 3 nuts and bolts.  I made one just like it.  Use it to take off your drive face and variator, as well as your clutch when trying to change your belt.

Good luck to you... most dealerships aren't knowledgeable with scooters.  Too bad you don't have a local scooter club or crew that can help out.

So I thought to schedule a servicing to include the oil, etc and was quoted $65 to $70 for the servicing which in turn will also have them look at the cvt.  The tough part, they can't get me in until JUNE 9th!!!!!!  So I sit and wait now.

Do not bring you scooter in for an oil change.  It will take 5 minutes, 10 minutes if you're intoxicated.

In this pic, you will see the arrow pointing to the 17mm oil plug.  It's the only bolt that has a 17mm head.  I use a rare earth magnetic plug off of ebay for $15 on mine.

Just loosen the bolt/plug....... drain the oil.  Tighten the plug back up snug, but not super tight, or you will crack the case.  Fill up on the opposite side where the dip stick is, using a funnel and 10w40 oil.  I use about 775ml.  I fill to 2/3.
I change my oil at 1K or sooner, if it gets dirty.

You can use google to find a manual online.  It's super easy to change your engine oil, trans gear oil, and belt and rollers.  The spark plug is kind of a pain, but doable, nonetheless.

Best of luck.

I use 85w 90 hypoid gear oil on all my 4 scooters.  Works great.  I flushed it at 500, then every 2-3K.

Tire changing made easy.......

I preheat the oven to 150.

Put the scoot wheel and tire in the oven for 20 minutes, I put a bath towel over the opening if the wheel is too big.

After the tire warms up for a while, I take it out and use a couple tire spoons, comes off in 3 minutes.  While I'm taking off the old tire, I put the new tire in to warm up.  If you live in the desert, just leave it outside on the asphalt/tarmac for 30 minutes.  Putting on the new tire takes about 3 minutes as well if the tire is warm.  Use some soapy water to lube it up.
Changing a cold tire will take about 30 minutes, some bloody knuckles, 100 curse words, objects thrown in every direction, and up to 12 beers consumed.  Opt for the warmer tire.  :-)

Dangit dude!  I live in LS, not far from Monroe.  I have a variator tool, I could have changed your belt for ya for a six pack of IPA.
I even have an extra Malossi belt I ordered direct from Italy.  $250 for parts and labor, you're kidding!  They rape ya for sure!  Takes about 15 minutes max, and I don't have a moto lift.   Oh well.  I have 2 Agility and 2 Rucks, pretty knowledgeable with scoots.

I run an NCY trans kit, so I don't have take off or slip issues.  You might need new rollers in your variator, and maybe just the clutch needs a quick air can or compressor to it.  I clean mine out about every 1k.   I have some extra rollers for $10 if ya need them.

Your vibration in the rear might be a bad tire.  Good deals from http://www.americanmototire.com/catalog/  I'm gonna pick up a set of SL26's soon.  My rear is getting thin at 5.5K.  Dyna beads can be put in the rear to balance the tire too..... google it.

PM me if ya need help with anything.....I can show ya how to do most things that those jokers can do, it's super easy.  I'm on totalruckus too.

Agility 125 / Re: 68 mph!
« on: May 08, 2012, 05:49:53 PM »
Indicated is not what you are traveling at.  The speedo is about 7mph off when you start hitting higher speeds.  60 is about 54.  50 is about 46-47.

I drafted a huge empty dump truck pulling a trailer.  He slowly accelerated, perfect for drafting..... hit an indicated 77, I would imagine about 70mph.

I hit a local hwy yesterday drafting and tucking at an indicated 70, about 62-63mph.  I tuck with one arm on the handlebar...on the throttle.  It gets pretty sketchy when going 65+ on the Agility.

I'm running the NCY trans kit with a Malossi kevlar belt and some sliders....

I have 2 Agilities.... the wife's hadn't been run in months and wouldn't start with about 2K miles on it.  I changed the spark plug, started up right away.  Note to self: change plug every 2k.

I have the kit, with about 4K miles on it.  I also replaced the belt with a kevlar Malossi.  I am using 3-10.1 sliders and 3-11.9 sliders.  I really like the setup and it is quicker than stock.  Pretty inexpensive too.

This was taken from totalruckus from some dude that hadn't used one before....  I use one on 2 Agility 125s, and two Honda Rucki.... each time I get residue on the plugs.

Get one, or be a hater with a small unit and don't
