People 150 / Headlight Modulator
« on: October 04, 2008, 03:09:34 AM »
With the weather getting cool, I'm planing to install a headlight modulator as a winter project. Can anyone tell me how to get to the heradlight wiring on my 2005 people 150?
Also the scooter has two amber lights mounted in the front body panels on either side that do not appear to have any function. They look as if they were intended to be front turn signals, but there is also a set hanging from the handlebars that look as if they were an afterthought. Anybody know what is up with these?

Calothrix ,
Just to double check, are you saying that the brake and tail light wires run along the LEFT (as you are sittong on it) side of the bike? I thought I saw them on the right.

Calothrix ,
Thanks for the reply. I was really hoping that there was a quick way to access that wiring but I guess not. This is going to be a good Sunday project. I'll let you noow how it turns out.

General Discussion / People 150 Brake light

I have a 2005 People 150 and I would like to install some LED lighting in my rear trunk to act as an additional brake light, maybe even flashing. I am having a REAL hard time figuring out how to get at the *@#$ Brake light wire though. I have had the lens off of the tail light, but can't figure out how to get at the wiring. I can see the harness running to the tail light area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone has a reccomendation for lights to go in the trunk I would be interested.

Thanks for the help Oldguy. I read about a recall for the stator somewhere and I wanted to be sure that it was not needed on my 150.

I just received a 2005 People 150 from a relative (free no less) and I have a question. The bike has only 1700 km on the clock and is in great shape overall. When I ride at night I notice that the headlight is somewhat dim at idle. As I increase rpm it brightens up quite a bit. Is there a recall / service bulletin for the stator on that model and if so where can I get info on it. The bike was bought new in Georgia and still has the original battery.
I am a big guy and I am amazed at this little 150 and its acceleration. I plan on using this scooter to save a bundle on gas this summer.
