General Discussion / Re: Had not checked the air in my tires!

A nice bike pump with a builtin gauge makes the task slightly less hated for me since i can  read the pressure and then pump if necessary. I still don't do it as often as I should though.   I am wondering if one of those little handheld, electric, rechargeable pumps would be even more convenient.

The windshield looks good! I am keeping my tall version around though. I live in Michigan and I may look silly with it but at least I can comfortably ride occassionaly during the winter.

66 mph is 4 more than i see, at least on a straightaway, and that is with a windshield similar in height to what you have.

Ebay
There is a company called WRS out of Italy selling them, but shipping is as much as the shield.
Clear version and smoke.  It fits the current s 150's well but you must already have the windshield brackets  and you'll want some rubber washers (what i did) or grommets to mount.

General Discussion / Re: 2022 People s 150 review?
« on: June 10, 2024, 05:28:04 PM »
I have had my 2022 for a year and it has been terrific for me.  I am coming from a 50cc so i am impressed by about everything though.  I agree with this guy's review for the most part, both positive and negatives.

The reviewer didn't like the tall windshield, but I have liked having it. It doesn't block my view.

They can be quite hard to find. I just tried searching and failed. I had to go back to my invoice to find it.

You can get them on aliexpress, OEM, for around $35 plus some shipping. Not bad price compared to what i saw people asking on ebay. This is for the S 150 but it might be listed as for the S 125, but it still fits.

It is a 2022 and yes a digital speedo.

I had the tall windshield off at the time i changed to sliders. The scooter is faster without that tall windshield. So if I remember right i could hit 64 mph on scooter (probably 62 actual) on straightaway before the slider and 63 or 62 maybe with the slider. Its down to  reading 61  max with that tall windshield on.  I am 215 and 5'11.

Again based on my memory, the mpg dropped from upper 70s mpg originally to upper 60s mpg with the sliders (I think sliders is the cause anyway). This bothers me most as the gas tank is already kind of small for those kind of numbers, so frequent fill-ups.  Really, my only complaint on this scooter. I really like it.

If you ride in cold you don't want to cut that thing down either. It will keep you much warmer.  Also, you can find a reduced height windshield  WRS (from Italy) on ebay listed for the People S 125. Fits perfectly on 150 as long as you have the OEM brackets already. It doesn't come with any.

I think they are 13.5 grams from description here https://www.bike-parts-kymco.uk/kymco-motorcycle/150-SCOOTER/PEOPLE/PEOPLE_S_150i_ABS_EURO_4/VARIATOR--CLUTCH/228/6/0/228

I tried 12 and 13's sliders on my 2022 and ended up mixing them for 12.5. I think acceleration is better and smoother than stock, but the gas mileage has gone down a bit and i lost a 1 mph on top end. I am leaning toward putting the original rollers back in next time I go back in there.
