Super 8 / CDI-location

Hi
I have been searching for the CDI-unit on my Super 8 but with no luck. I want to swap for a derestricted one.
THere is nothing near the battery and I have been reading about that it could be behind the headlights but I cant seem to find it there either. Does anyone have any suggestions where it might be located?
