People s150 / People S 125 Aftermarket exhaust
« on: April 03, 2012, 05:15:12 PM »
looking for advice on a new exhaust for my '09 People S 125.
I would like to put something on it to squeeze a few more HP out but I'm not having much luck with my online search.
My dealer was also not able to offer any suggestions.

Surely someone has put a performance exhaust on one of these.

cheers.

Technical | How To / People S 125 - Is it a GY6?
« on: June 07, 2011, 04:38:34 PM »
I am trying to determine if the engine in the People S 125 is a GY6.
Someone once mentioned to me that it is but I have been unable to verify this.
Does anyone know?  It's much easier to look for 125cc GY6 parts than it is to search on
People S 125.

Thanks,

The thing that made the bigist difference in speed is I put on a tall windshield.

Thanks for that I was thinking about looking into one.  I was a little surprised, as a new rider, by how much wind there is at even 60Kms/hr. I wonder if a higher windshield would cut that down a little.

yes that sounds about right.  I had mine up to about 90 today and surprisingly smoothly.

Technical | How To / Newbie looking for advice.

Hello all,

I am new to riding a scooter (2 weeks) and of course new to this forum.
I purchased a new 2009 People S 125 from a local dealer and am very much enjoying the scooter but I am already beginning to think of ways to squeeze just a little more speed out of it.

I read that the top speed for a People S 125 is 100Km/h and I have ridden mine at speeds around 90Km/h but I have never attained the advertised top speed.  Knowing that there are many variables that can affect this, including that my scoot is not yet broken in. I thought I would ask the members here for some advice.

What, If anything can I do to squeeze a little more performance out?  I do not wish to make any major modifications to the scooter but if there are some things I can do to get another few Km/h out of it that advice would be most welcomed.  Actually, anything that I should know about my new toy would be welcomed.

Cheers,
