Yes more air flow is more power all the time

Asources, don't get frustrated there is typically only two external screws that control the way the carb functions. One is the idle speed the other is the idle mixture. THATS IT. Im pretty sure 99% of the time the idle speed screw is larger than the mix screw. On my 2 stroke people the mix screw is on a slight incline(angle) and the idle screw is perpendicular. Yours is 4 stroke so it could be different.

Thanks ... but where are those screws ... i have to look from the side of the pipe pr the sire of the air box ...

Do you have a picture of it ?

Good day,

It is all stock , the only mod i did it is with the cdi box ... original it was running at 60KM/H ... with the mod 72/75km/h

I plan on trying some mod to get more speed at red light ... and not loosing speed uphill...

Not sure will try yours ... because i was thinlink you were running faster than mine with these specs...

But already order malossi vario ...

I will; try you mod ... probably will get more speed ...

Little question ... why put an irridium spark ... what we gain doing this ?

Btw ... just tried with a passenger .... was a 115kg ... and was at 70km/h top speed ...

« on: June 21, 2011, 05:21:24 PM »
Typically I've seen the UNI or othery open filters attached directly to the carb...

I remembered I still had the old air box and got to cutting it with my knife...

results in the pic...

Hoping to get some cooler air out there.  We'll see how it goes.

the intake noise is now directed out the side of the scoot instead of up and back.

What is the size you use ... 35MM or 38MM

Hey guys, just found a surprise restriction in the inlet hose that runs between atmosphere and the airbox on my Like 50 4T.

It's a black Collett that you can just pop out of tye connection on the airbox if you can get your fingers in there.

Has anyone ever seen or eard of this with other models?

Removing this effectively doubles the size of the smallest (most restrictive) point in the inlet.

Josh.

Do you have a picture showing this ?? Not sure if i have this on people s 50 2009

I saw in another post someone talking about Jet #82 and putting a k&n air type filter ... but im really confused about that air type filter ... went on k&n and they have nothing for my people s 50 ...

Also , any suggestion about good variator ? Changing this for a racing type would increase speed ? Acceleration ?

Vermi has the right idea. Lighter rollers, and stiffer fly springs on the clutch will add some pep to the bottom end, and a k&n type air filter, w/ a larger main jet should get you another 5mph on top

Do you have a model of air filter to suggest to me ??
