Use a sanding pad you can shave off the foam from the underside. See my earlier post for pictures. Be prepared to create lots of foam dust. Better wear a mask.

Try to remove just enough foam to make it softer and lower but not so much for you to feel the hard plasitic underneath. You can achieve this by shaving off a little bit at a time and test riding it untill you are satisfied.

I replaced the OEM solid state relay with two mechanical ones (for cars) from autozone. It is not that difficult to figure out which pin goes to which. The mechanical relay is much stronger and handles higher current with ease, and it is cheaper too. (I am using a Xenon HID light in place of one bulb, that is why I used two relays. You can wire both bulbs together and use only one relay)

I had a nasty fall because my front wheel locked up a couplle months ago. So I modified the brake lines. With a double banjo bolt I connected two brake lines to the left master cylinder. One line goes to one of the front calipers and the other goes to the back. I figured if the right master cylinder only connects to one disc instead of two, it should not brake as hard as it is connected to two front discs.

Now my left lever activates the real brake and one of the front calipers, and the right lever activates another front caliper. When I squeeze the right lever, I no longer worry it might lock up the front brake because only one caliper is activated instead of two. When I squeeze the left lever, the braking is more solid then before because both front and real brakes are applied.

It did take some time to get use to it. After 3 months of riding, I am happy with the result.

You will have to file away the key on the bottom clamp to be able to rotate the brake levers. Not hard to do with a dremel tool, but keep in mind the mirrors are installed on the brake lever housing.

- front wheel tends to lock easily

Definitely watch out for this one. I had been riding a 250 cruiser before I switch to my PS250. Within 2 weeks I dropped it because the front wheel locked up and I ended up bruises everythere.  Maybe I will disconnect one of the front brakes someday.

You will have to remove most of the body panels just to get to the tail light. In the process you run the risk of breaking the locking tabs of the body panels. To avoid removing the body panels, I ended up drilling a few holes in the under side of the tail assembly (above the rear tire) so I can unscrew the bolts holding the tail light assembly using a long neck screw driver. Not a fun thing to do but doable.

Enjoy and be safe.

(What's not to like? Wait till you need to change rear turn lights or top off brake fluid)

I think you just tie it with two nylon cable ties.

My windshield was cut down 2 1/2 inches also. the original is way too tall for me. Even with it cut shorter, walking the scooter with engine off is somehow difficult because it prevents me from leaning forward, and that is what most people need to do especially going uphill.

For my PS250's GIVI windshield, I had to use Dremal tool to file away some bracket material to get it to fit.

This is what I did to solve my vertically challenged problem: I used a sander to shave off some of the foam and a heat gun to soften the supporting plastic structure so I can re-shape it. I removed the sharp ridges so I do not have to spread my legs so much when I put my feet down. Since all the modification are done from the inside, when everything is put back, there is no change in the seat's appearance. The real change is felt when sitting on it. Overall I have lowered the seat two inches and it also make the seat softer!
