People 250 / Touch Up Paint
« on: October 01, 2011, 06:56:53 PM »
Hi everyone from Tulsa,
I posted on here a couple of weeks ago about touch up paint for my people 250 scooter.  I've had quite
a time trying to get paint to match.  Ordered from www.scootershop.com, but the paint didn't match at all.  It was way too dark.  My scooter is metal flake charcoal.  I sent an e-mail to scootershop, and they told me to send my vin# and they would try to get the matching paint.  That was 7-10 days ago, and have not heard from them.  So, I've spent the better part of a month trying to get the paint.  Someone at work told me to go to the local parts store. I went to O'Reily's  auto and they took some of portable device that recorded the color and they mixed it for me and put it in a spray can.  Matched perfectly!!!!
Just wanted to relay this to anyone that might have the same issue.

People 250 / Touch Up Paint Question
« on: September 19, 2011, 05:20:13 PM »
Has anyone had any experience with touch up paint?  I have a 2007 people 250 scooter that has some places on the left side from a previous owner who layed it down.  Not real bad, and I thought at first, I could live with it, but I decided I wanted to try to touch it up.  Got the part# from Kymco USA and ordered the paint from www.scootershop.com.  That was the only place I could find that had it, and it took over 2 weeks to finally get the paint.  I put a small amount of the paint on a spot that I wet sanded, and it looks too dark?!?  First time I've tried
this, so can anyone tell me if the paint get lighter once you buff it out or what? The color is the Charcoal Grey.

Also, I'm trying to find where I can buy a replacement rear turn signal cover.  I've looked online and haven't found it yet and don't know where to get the part# for it.

People 250 / Gas Gauage Issue
« on: August 22, 2011, 01:10:12 PM »
 Hi everyone from Tulsa Oklahoma!!
Just purchased a 2007 People 250, which so far I love, but the gas gauge is making me parnoid.  I went to fill up this week-end and it didn't take a full gallon of gas although the guage was showing almost on empty.  I know it will
take almost 2 gallons of gas, so it was only about half empty.  Are the gas gauges just not acurate, or is there something faulty that I need to correct.  If anyone has any info, I would appreciate a post.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
New to this forum and to scooters, but in the process of buying a Kymco.  At least that's what I've decided
on. My name is Darrell Christan and live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I'm looking at a Kymco 250cc people scooter.  It's a 2007 with a little over 4,000 miles on it. It has a full windshield and a Givi top case.  Looks real nice and well taken care of.  Asking $2,400.00.  I've done a whole
lot of research and from what I can find it appears to be a pretty good deal.  All you experienced scooter people please let me know what you think!?!?

Thanks!
