Super 8 150 / Re: Super 8 150 crusing speed / top speeds?

Now that my Super 8 150 is broken in I can normally get up to 60 mph WOT on level roads (I weigh about 200 lbs).

General Discussion / Re: trailer hitch

I haven't gotten a trailer hitch carrier yet, but it seems like the details of the aluminum ones will say not recommended for rear engine scooters.  The steel ones like at this site seem to be a better choice over aluminum for scooters, which don't have the weight apparently distributed as evenly as a motorcycle

I have a 2012 Super 8 150 and I agree there is not a ton of extra foot room.  I have not done anything to mine and don't expect to.  I imagine I will keep mine stock all the way around until parts start to wear out.  If you come up with a good idea, let us know.

General Discussion / Re: Modular Helmet

Some of the best prices I have found are at Leatherup.com.  Here is a link to their modular helmets sorted by price:

I got the Advanced Hawk Aviator Skull dual visor.  The design is both cool and tacky, but it was the cheapest at the time I ordered it that was modular with the drop down dual visor.  It actually seems lighter than my SparX helmet but is still not quite as comfortable (doesn't hurt, just not as comfortable as my SparX).  It is also a bit noisy and breezy at times.  I figure for $100 it does pretty good for the features.  Good luck.

Super 8 150 / Re: New Super 8 150 NEED UPGRADE OPTIONS!
« on: March 13, 2012, 04:41:43 PM »
I bought a 2012 in September last year and paid MSRP ($2400).  With tax, title, freight (and what other junk there may be), ended up just over $2800.  I am an old fart but it it my first scooter and have enjoyed it very much so far.

It is funny that nobody seems to know what to say about that photo! :)

Eye Candy | Videos and Pics / New Super 8 150, and new to scooters

This is my first post here, as I have just gotten my first scooter.  I did a fair amount of research and found out what you folks already know, Kymco is a great way to go.  Have only had my bike for a week and still just getting a feel for it, putting on about 4 miles a day.  Looking forward to getting it broken in so I can do my commute.  Has been fun so far (can't let all the young folks have all the fun!).  Thanks for checking it out.

And a big shout-out to Fox's Suzuki in Roxboro, NC.  Richard, Todd, and Martha went out of their way to find this bike for me.
