People 50 / people 50 speedo cable install
« on: October 21, 2011, 04:16:11 PM »
Hello board,
I need a hand, trying to put on a speedo cable on a People 50.
Before I explain, I want to note I have looked all over for the answer, Youtube, Kymcoforum, Google, etc and still cannot find how to get this fully installed.
I DO have the cable installed onto the odometer/dashboard - fed through the scooter body - but TOTALLY stuck getting it attached to the front wheel.
The cable broke off at the front wheel base, now I cannot remove the "stub" that is stuck on the bike (see pictures) furthermore, I cannot see or find out how to release/take out the "set screw" or release the cable "stub"
My 2K5 People 50cc has a hole (see pic) next to the cable housing, not a screw. I thought it was a "push-in to release cable" but it is not.
Does anyone know how to release (remove) this style cable for installing a new one?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer,
Charleston
