You guys have been super helpful. Thank you so much for your input. Looks like I'll start looking for a way to get an Agility 125.

Would the bore kit make it more likely to overheat?

If its safe and stable, I'll call my dealership an see of they'll install it for me.

Agility 50 / Bore Kit?
« on: January 31, 2012, 11:26:00 PM »
Hello all,

I'm a bit curious about bore kits for the Agility 50:

How noticeable is the improvement?
Would it void the warranty?
How involved is the installation of it? Could an amateur do it?
Could it damage the bike or cause overheating?
Any other information anyone can offer?

The reason I ask is because I love the Agility 125 but don't want to go through the pricing and difficulty of trading my Agility 50 and buying a 125. But as an amateur, would it be easier to do so than install a bore kit?

Agility 50 / New Exhaust
« on: November 18, 2011, 03:04:15 PM »
I've cut my CDI and swapped my clutch boss variator. The next thing I'd like to do is get a new exhaust. In you guys' experience, how does this impact top speed, fuel economy, etc. would you recommend it, and if so, any particular exhaust you would recommend?

It was confirmed, at least they say, to be a blown head gasket. Any idea how that happened and how I can prevent it in the future?

Hello all, first time post here.

I have an Agility 50 on which I cut the CDI and swapped my clutch boss variator, and I added a windshield. It has about 3,000 miles on it, and I've done all of the maintenance prescribed in the manual.

Recently I pulled up to a red light on my way to work, it stopped idling, and wouldn't start again no matter what, despite battery, gas level, and everything else I could check being fine.

I got it to the dealership and they said I had blown a head gasket by riding it too fast.

My question is, with these two modifications alone, will I overheat or hurt my engine by riding it full-throttle? Is their assessment correct? Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Brad
