Agility 50 / Re: Factory Contra Spring?
« on: September 16, 2013, 01:28:04 PM »
Blue I originally had factory weight rollers of 7.5 gr. Take off was horriblely slow. Anther thing is I'm not sure I'm hitting power band rpm's right. That's why I went to lighter rollers! Which has helped connsideribly. BTW anyone know of a good cheap tach you can add onto a single cyl. application?

I added a Shark Motorcycle Audio system to my scooter! 250 watt fm tuner, with mp3 and SD card. Also has antenna and two remotes, a wired one answer an infrared one. I mounted speakers on outside of faring and main stereo on dome area where VIN plate is. One of the  main reasons I went with this set up is because it can operate on like 9 volts and above. I added pic so everyone can see how it looks.

Agility 50 / Re: Belt Issues!.... please help!!!!
« on: September 07, 2013, 03:06:05 PM »
The Gates power link belt is a kevlar version! So that idea is out. I know this cuz I work for a NAPA auto parts store and I sell 2 to 3 scooter belts a week. If you have all your old variator and clutch parts? I'd put those back in and run scooter for awhile and see how scoot does. If variator came with lighter roller weights? I'd probably run those instead of factory rollers. From what I've seen the Agility scooters seem to rev better and pull a lil harder with lighter weights.

Agility 50 / Factory Contra Spring?
« on: September 04, 2013, 10:13:02 PM »
Been having trouble pulling some hills in my area! I've read on some of the posts here on kymco forum to change the contra spring to help with this kind of issue. But, none of the post that I've read really say what the factory spring tension is, so I know what spring to get to try! If anyone knows any help would be greatly appericated. Russ

Agility 50 / Has anyone converted d/c cdi to a/c cdi?
« on: June 18, 2013, 03:41:17 PM »
Just wondering if anyone on here has converted d/c cdi to a/c cdi on their scoot? I've been having issues with my d/c cdi on my scoot. About once a year I'll burn up a cdi. A local scooter repair guy says he can convert my scoot over to a/c cdi and i won't have as many issues. Plus parts are cheaper and more abundant. He starts by changing the stator over to an a/c unit. He has to rewire a few things and of course he changes cdi. Please let me know if anyone has info on this and what your feelings are about swicthing! Thx Russ

Agility 50 / Re: BEST VARIATOR/CLUTCH BANG FOR THE BUCK!
« on: October 11, 2012, 02:14:27 PM »
Ok when I got scoot it had already been deresticted, smooth boss! My weights are worn some & have a few flat spots. Clutch springs And torque spring are stock. Haven't done anything to CVT other than put a 3/8 (10MM) longer than stock. Reason I did that was in hopes of getting a little now top end speed!

Ok guys on my 08 agility what's the best complete variator/clutch setup I can get, I mean variator, rollers, clutch & torque spring, whole package deal? Scooter runs great on flat ground 40 to 42 depending on wind. Take offs are a little slow, scoot doesn't seem to rev real high even though I'm running a upgraded cdi. Up hills will very as to whether I'm already at cruising speed. But, normally I can hit 25 to 30 if I have a short run at hill & if I'm at speed won't get below 30.

Ok guys I still have the same problem! I've switched carb out for stock one. Put on original air box. Still sounds like it's spitting back thru carb. I have a stupid question? What is all the sh** inside the spark plug cap? There's a brass screw piece if you remove it a spring & a little aluminum part come out! I took the aluminum part out because it causes resistance in plug wire. Since I took that out could it be causing spark signal to break down & cause loss of spark under load when riding?
